VERY likely. I mean, Sonic is very much an icon of gaming. Frankly it'd be weird if he and Mario WEREN'T in it. I understand that they're going by his "official" height, but in every game where there are humans, he reaches at least their torso - the Avatar from Forces would just about reach their chest.
