  1. New interview with Oshima-San and Iizuka-San. Just some general interview stuff.
  2. The new update/DLC/Physical Release is out! And yes, the moment we all dreaded waited for us here. Super Amy is real, and she can hurt you. XP I’ll give my thoughts on it later, but I will say it seems they finally fixed the game overall in terms of glitches. Plus, I got my complete save file back! So that’s a good start.
  3. Personally, I find it more comical than anything else. XP Then again I may be bias in that regard. I'm not sure if there's a term for a kangaroo court for a dead comic book character that will absolutely come back before the end of the year, but if there is a term for it that would certainly fit this marketing ploy. Don't mind the clickbait title, that's not true...for the Marvel Comics' Spider-Man you know of. That, and Marvel already does it enough on their own, at this point death would be a mercy for the character. Jonathon Hickman (someone who can actually write decent to good comics), and was the man who brought back the X-Men in comics with it's Krakoan Plotline, is writing a mini-series where the Ultimate Marvel Universe apparently comes back...maybe? Simply put, The Maker (Ultimate Marvel Reed Richards turned bad after he got rejected and cucked by his Sue Storm) has escaped from his prison in the Main Marvel Universe and has decided to play....well, Maker in a world familiar to Ultimate Marvel...as far as we know for now. Gotta say, Hickman had me hooked with the first arcs of his X-Men run and it's conclusion, so I'm pretty sure that this will turn out well even if Ultimate Marvel doesn't come back. Although I kinda hope it does, only if to put Miles Morales back in his world and we can have separate Spider-Men again. Sans any Clones because I am 90's trash. XP All jokes aside, I liked a few things from Ultimate Marvel back in the day, but it always rung out to me as the A-Hole Marvel Universe due to how a lot of characters can come off as completely jerks. Other than Ultimate Spider-Man back when Peter Parker was still alive, every other Ultimate Comic run either had a rocky start or rocky everything. I heard the first Ultimates (that world's Avengers) was pretty good, but it was also written by Mark Miller so it depends on who you ask. That's not even getting into how the line of comics shot itself in the foot with Ultimate Power, the Ultimates sequels, and Ultimatum which basically killed all momentum and investment for a majority of readers...along with far too many characters to count. At least, until Peter Parker died and Miles Morales came in to the fold to briefly bring some life into it. But by that point the damage was done. For clarification, killing off Peter Parker in that continuity actually improved Ultimate Marvel for awhile with Miles, that would be unfeasible in any other kind of run that isn't a Mini-Series. But after 2015 Secret Wars, that line of comics, along with the world, was done for...until now? Ultimate Marvel was an odd title at first, yet also started off with the same strategy as MC2 or Marvel 2099. The intention was to make a Marvel Series for a new generation and audience, a Reboot/Remake of sorts before that was very prominent. Didn't exactly work out that way, but the effort was apricated for a younger audience. I actually had Ultimate Spider-Man issue 1 as a kid, wish I still had it. 90s Cartoon Spider-Man was always my Spidey though XP The way I understood it as a kid was that it was the Younger Marvel Comics with usually younger versions of the Marvel Super Heroes, and that Nick Fury was based off of Samuel L. Jackson (and now you know how he got in the Marvel Movies). Did any of you know or heard of this run of comics? If so, what did you think?
  4. https://yosshin4004.github.io/x68k/crs68k/official/index.html The famous Sharp X68000 shoot 'em up Cho Ren Sha 68k recently got an updated version for the Sharp X68000 Z, a mini computer/console that's still being worked on with it's first beta release out in limited quantities. Considering the massive price tag for the Z so far, needless to say not a lot of people are gonna buy it unless they are MASSIVE collectors. However, the creator of the game decided to do something very nice for fans of the game. You can now download and play the new version for free. I feel like he should make a new version or a successor for modern consoles, but this is still excellent. It's a great game too, all you gotta do is download a Sharp X68000 emulator or download Retroarch and get the Core for it and there you go! Enjoy, it can be pretty tough as it's more of an old school, mid-90s shooter. But it was quite ahead of it's time as this came out before the Dodonpachi series. Check it out!
  5. Breaking News! Our friend here Groovy Jake with some help have managed to discover a pitch for an unused Sonic DiC Spin-Off! It was to be titled Super Sonic Sisters, and OHH BOY it is trippy as all get out. Featuring the high school girl duo and reporter twin sisters (the cousins of The Blue Blur), Monica and Isabelle, who live on a meteor in space to expose anything Robotnik does while trying to take over the Universe- This show sounds completely insane. o_o I'm not kidding, watch the video yourselves and you'll see what I mean. We also get some AoSTH and Underground details, like the lost wizard girl Merlina (wait...), and how Sonia was suppose be shaped like Jessica Rabbit...yeah... Also Quilley! The Porcupine Sidekick that we never got to meet, probably for the best. XP
  6. New Classic Sonic game has been announced! You can play as our classic trio of heroes, and Amy’s here too! XD But really, I’m digging this announcement. We also get a tease for a returning antagonist from the Game Gear games. A certain Sniper…
  7. Why Miles Morales in Marvel Comics doesn’t work, or rather in Earth-616. Yes, unlike DC, Marvel for some reason designed their main canon universe as 616. I don’t know why either.
  8. I mean it’s not too surprising, and while these reports for IDW aren’t new, them losing the license for The Transformers is certainly a big blow that’s concerning to say the least.
  9. The ending of MK11 had Raiden giving him his god powers, turning Liu Kang into a Fire God. Then in the DLC story MK11 Aftermath, he let some more time travel stuff happen, take out Shang Tsung, and rewrote the timeline to what we'll see in MK1. The last game's story was garbage though, and they really screwed up a Time Shenanigan plot with a really dull antagonist from that game. It could have been written way better is what I'm saying, and that's not even getting into the needless retcons in MK11 like Sindel always being evil. Hopefully, with this complete reboot we'll get better writing. Mortal Kombat has a lot of potential story wise, though it was never told as well as it could have been.
  10. https://www.mortalkombat.com/en-us Mortal Kombat 1 announced! …wait. XD Not linking the trailer because, well it’s Mortal Kombat, and some may not care for its violence (which is very quick to the point if the trailer is anything to go by). All the Klassic characters confirmed so far are those you expect, although Shang Tsung as a pre-order bonus is kinda lame since they did that last time. Otherwise, it was a neat teaser. On the site though it reveals two things. Jean-Claude Van Damme is a skin for Johnny Cage, which is just going full circle here, and we have something called Kameo Fighters. From the sound of it, they’re like Assists from MVC and Strikers from KOF. I just hope 3D era Characters are only relegated as Assists. Overall, I’m sure the game itself will be fine, probably better than MK11. But I am cautious about the Story Mode as the last game’s story was garbage in execution, not including certain characterizations.
  11. While this does also belong in the AoSTH section, this is very relevant as it's an overview of both cartoons. I'm just glad to see both of them get mentioned on Secret Galaxy.
  12. That's so sad, I pray for him and his family. While I never watched ALL of Pokemon, it was apart of my childhood growing up.
  13. Yeah he is. XD He was originally a Super Armor Pallet swap of Zangief that first showed up in Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter as a secret character. Was also in MVC1 and 2 as a Super Transformation. But since about SFxT they gave him a new design, it's hilarious. Gotta say, other than the downside of waiting for Akuma next year, SF6 looks really good. Love the World Tour mode and how you basically kinda make a custom character, let alone going around the world to train with the characters. I'm more shocked to see that the alternate Modern Controls are going to be allowed in actual tournaments, that's a literal game changer for the FGC. Makes me wonder if that control scheme will be viable for tournament play, and this is coming from a guy who isn't really into Fighting game Tournaments.
  14. https://archive.org/details/siter-skain-the-tale-of-alltynex-official-guide-book-english/mode/2up Around 10 years ago (geez, it's been that long), when Nyu Media still existed, they published an english version of the Alltynex Series Guide Book. This features gameplay details, interviews, and a BUNCH of lore related to the Siter Skain trilogy of shooters. You could get it for like 8 bucks back then, and I don't think you can buy it anymore, hence why it's probably up on Archive.org now. But hey, that just means you can now freely enjoy this book if you so wish to. XP Speaking of Alltynex, one of the ships from the series made a surprise comeback thanks to it's new publisher in another stand out shooter from last year. At the start of the year, Grand Cross Renovation (yes, the title makes no sense at all) got a free update with another guest star ship playable (the first of which was the unlockable Kirisame Blade). This time, we got the Kamui from the 1999 Shmup of the same name. Yes, it's an old game and yeah it's a pretty obscure choice, but considering the publisher has both games under it's belt it makes a lot of sense. That, and it's awesome to play with such a powerful ship again. Let it be known that no matter how obscure it is, if this and HAMSTER's Arcade Archive line of re-releases shows anything, is that unless licensing gets in the way, nothing is too obscure to make a comeback.
  15. Don't let the funny name fool you, this game (which already got funded on Kickstarter no less than a day after it's Kickstarter was put up) is for anyone who ever liked the Chao Garden. So, if you've wanted what's essentially a new Chao Garden game, here you go! ...seriously, still can't believe Sega hasn't tried to bank on the Chao. XP
  16. I'm loving how Tekken 8 is turning out, and so far it's got a great cast of characters be default (although I'd really want to have Armor King as part of the default roster, he's always been my favorite Tekken character). I certainly know June is gonna be crazy when Street Fighter 6 comes out, and with all the Rollback Netcode updates for fighting games as of late, it's certainly a great time to be a fan. It's a great time to be an SNK fan, and the Garou/Fatal Fury Sequel is certainly changed up compared to what the original Garou 2 was gonna be. We got Andy and Joe! Also, while I would have thought Krizalid would have been the next Free update Boss Character, it's always great to see Goenitz. Although fighting him can be a major pain though. XP
  17. I heard that the FNAF Movie will be coming out this October, so that's definitely something to look forward to. Considering whose playing Afton (Matthew Lillard), I'm actually pretty excited to see how this movie turns out.
  18. With Sonic officially confirmed as gone, where do you think the games are going to go next?

Will the games continue at all, go into a full reboot, or replace him with a new main character?

Let us know in the comments below.

    April Fool's everyone! XP

  19. With Sonic Origins Plus on the way, I was thinking that while Amy in that collection is pretty neat, I'd have preferred Mighty and Ray. At the very least with this Mod, I can at least have Mighty in Sonic CD. This flew over the radar for me, but I thought sharing it would be apt. Although it does just want me to have more Mighty in the games. XP And Ray, never forget about the Flying Squirrel boy.
  20. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2324650/?curator_clanid=4777282&utm_source=SteamDB Welp, they finally did it. They killed Sonic. April Fools everyone! XP
  21. I think I know why they made Amy playable, there was a mild backlash to Amy not being included in the game from YouTube channels like Video Game Story Time and fans. Mainly because she was so featured heavily in the promos of Origins. Which, I mean she's in Sonic CD so of course they were gonna promote her, but everyone knew she had a minor role in that game. Granted, I'm glad to have another playable character in the collection (I'm more happy to have Knuckles officially in Sonic CD), and that fans of Amy got a win to play as her for the first time in years. Although I'd honestly prefer to have Mighty and Ray more so than Amy, or Metal Sonic for that matter. They'd be nice unlockables, but you know they would promote Metal Sonic being playable if that was the case. From the gameplay I've seen in the trailer, she seems to roll into a ball by default in her jump. So sadly she doesn't play like in Advance 1, which would make her a character for more experienced players. I'd have to imagine she's a two button character though, as I saw her use the hammer on the ground. It also seems that her Hammer Spin Attack could be based off of the Insta-shield, but that's just my speculation.
  22. Much like Sonic Mania, this Plus Expansion has been officially announced! Now with a playable Amy Rose, all 12 Game Gear games, and Knuckles in Sonic CD! The latter of which REALLY should have been included in the first release. Any thoughts? Let us know. :)
