    For Sally I would start by making alterations to her reboot design. I would make her vest a little longer as bearing her midriff isn't practical and does not honestly seem like her style and make her shorts actual shorts, not jogging shorts. I'd make her a lot more tactical in her leadership role not just pointing at places and telling people to go there. I'd have her call out Sonic for screwing up or playing around instead of just finishing the mission. Plus have more scenes of her fighting as, maybe it is just me, I don't think we get enough of her kicking ass in the reboot compared to the SEGA cast. Finally the really obvious one, re-implement her romance with Sonic. Not only is it one of two romances with Sonic I've seen that makes sense, although the other one is just ship tease so might be a little generous, it was probably one of the better written character relationships even when they weren't together.

    For me it started with Sonic Adventure 2: Battle with City Escape. I was too young to have played anything other the Dreamcast and never had one and thus had no knowledge of any of the cartoons as they were off the air for years. The intro to the Hero story and that stage was a perfect or as close to perfect introduction to the series and to the character. I didn't know anything else until I got the first two episodes of Sonic X on the old GBA video thing that last for only like four cartridges and apparently it is a good thing that I only saw those two episodes. I first got introduced to the comic via a digital version of Sonic: The Firsts on Sonic Mega Collection + and have only started reading it recently via scans. Finally I watched SatAM around the beginning of this year and while it has aged a bit, it is still a very good show.

    If I may, I would highly recommend it Wulf. I decided to go see since some of my friends saw and loved and I have to say I love it and it seems to continue to show Disney now being willing to branch out with their animated features.

    Apparently the Sonic Boom we got was due to the fact that it was a mashup between a more adventure oriented entry in the series and the comedic one we all know and hate. Apparently there is evidence to suggest the adventure one was being worked on since 2007 but how it became Rise of Lyric is unknown. In all honesty the game probably would not have been any good but it would've been at least worth a shot considering the state of the games now. Otherwise tbh, none of the publicly known cancelled Sonic games as they all honestly look terrible and four of them were just different and earlier versions of the cancelled X-Treme.

    I have two ideas on this. My first one is just working with Scourge as given could potentially work but you'd need to change two things. One show him in a more negative light as he has supposed to be "sympathetic" in a few arcs IIRC. Two have people react to him the way they really should as he is arguably one of the worst villains moral wise and he somehow managed to corrupt on of the heroes. My second idea is a bit hampered as I still have to remember that it is a kid's comic but since Batman: The Animated Series did it, show how abusive Scourge would be to everyone. Not only is there evidence that he is at least emotional abusive to Fiona, probably physically as well due to his personality, he'd also probably have the habit of smacking around anyone who works for him if they even ask him to clarify something. If we must give him the spotlight then show what he is like when he isn't breaking stuff and trying to kill the hero or being forced to work for someone.

    To sort of follow up on what Red said, many influential Japanese game designers have said that the fact that Japanese game industry refuses to change is one of the big reasons why it is stagnating. When was the last time a notable game from Japan got an official Western release that wasn't part of an already existing franchise? I can't say for certain but I'm certain the list is small. Add on to that the PlayStation branch of Sony was recently restructured and now has it's headquarters in California. That has got to at least say something.

    I think the Sonic's Worthless Friends is bullcrap as well but the heat right now is making me not want to enter rant mode so my full thoughts will have to come latter.
