I believe I posted this before, and might do so again, but still this is very note worthy and odd to me. I say odd as they produced Thunder Force VI back in 2006 or so, I assumed that they've owned the rights to Tecnosoft's games ever since then but turns out that wasn't the case until now.

Huh. That a good thing or a bad thing?

No that's a good thing more or less! I mean the games finally get some re-releases that this series sorely needed (unlike the Genesis version of Virtua Fighter 2) and while unlikely will hopefully lead to a port of Sega's Thunder Force VI or better yet a new game in the series. Thunder Force III is a great game but I'd be looking more forward to a re-release of Thunder Force IV and/or V, either way all the games in the series are great...well except the very first one. XP

What a run for a console so many counted out; outlasted the Wii, the 360, and the WiiU.

that's sony for you, the longevity of their consoles is absolutely absurd. the PS2 had games being made as late as 2014, and the PS1 was at least until 2005. keep in mind they were released in both 2000 and 1994, respectively.
