  1. I kinda like the design to be honest now that it has settled in. I do agree with the notion that there's a ton of character depth but not characteristic depth in the franchise. Alas with everything from Archie with the possible exception of the Freedom Fighters no longer going to be used they need to shore up the characters... even though they could just use the ones they had prior.

My main issue is how they introduced her. The first few days before the reveal it looked strikingly similar to Sally, which seems to have been their intention. Bold marketing strategy that got people talking but when you have a fan favorite in limbo and the silhouette looks identical to said character, ethically it might have not been the right move.

Course if Sally gets revealed in the next few days/weeks then it's a moot point

Also, notice how there's no cover for Issue #3 yet....

  2. Again, they would have said something by now. Combing over the Facebook group, twiiter, reddit, etc. shows that there's quite a few fans riding on the notion that they're gonna be there and if not they're not gonna get a subscription.

Just remember: this was in the prequel comic for Forces:

And it appears the first arc continues the story

  4. This here is the topic to discuss IDW Sonic issues and Solicits when they come available. Unless it's a special issue (crossovers, milestone issues, and other special issues) all discussion will be done here:

Without further ado: We have the Covers of #1 & #2 as well as the solicit for #2.

    Cover #1 & Variant. Cover #2 & Variant.

Issue #1 Solicit:  Sonic the Hedgehog #1—Cover A: Tyson Hesse—GEM OF THE MONTH Ian Flynn (w) • Tracy Yardley (a) • Tyson Hesse (c)
SONIC’S RACING INTO A NEW ADVENTURE! After defeating the evil Dr. Eggman’s latest plot, Sonic is racing around the world to shut down the robotic Badnik forces that are still attacking villages. But it’s a big job for one hedgehog—even Sonic! Fortunately, he’ll have some help from his best friend: Tails!

Sonic’s new adventure continues, and when he comes across another town in need of saving, his old pal Amy arrives just in time to join the fight! The banter is fun, and the stakes are high, but things get really serious when Amy presents Sonic with a big request: rejoin the Resistance!

  5. Ohh it gets even worse: Leaked documents showing they're using AI to change video games DURING gameplay to force micro-transactions

It's not only EA, it could be a lot of other companies too. This seems to be from an outside marketing firm trying to sell their AI/ad tech to execs at game companies

The game in the presentation is EA's Anthem... developed by BioWare. Because people know about this it will mean one thing: It's gonna end up like BattleFront 2 and could cause BioWare to shut down (EA isn't high on them anymore cause of Andromeda)

There are some discrepancies in the slides so it could either be a poor marketing firm that didn't proofread or fake but at the same time, considering the mobile gaming market and EA's recent ideas make this plausible

  6. You can pre-order the first volume now on Amazon for $16 (So the First 4 issues by my guess). It's titled "Fallout" and here's the description:

Join the Blue Blur for brand-new adventures as he and his friends race around the world to defeat the evil Dr. Eggman’s robotic forces!

The evil genius Dr. Eggman has been foiled–but the work of Sonic the Hedgehog isn’t over yet! In the aftermath of the latest epic battle, rogue robots continue to attack small villages around the world. In order to succeed, Sonic will need the help of his friends Tails, Knuckles, and Amy, along with some new and surprising allies. This new collection from acclaimed writer Ian Flynn features the blue blur like you’ve never seen him before. Gotta go fast!

About the Author: Ian Flynn is a freelance writer for multiple forms of media. He’s also “that Sonic guy” as his portfolio of Sonic the Hedgehog work makes abundantly clear. He was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina and is currently based out of Toronto, Ontario, with easy business ties to both sides of the border. In addition to writing, he’s part of a podcast/gaming channel series called the BumbleKast

"New and Surprising Allies" seems interesting though I'm curious if they are keeping it vague until the solicits come out

Alex, you're sort of missing the point somewhat. Super Sonic, a staple feature since 1992, is now paid DLC, hiding a staple character behind a paywall. I wonder what OTHER games have done that recently...

Free til the end of January and SEGA is allowing you to download it before then even if you don't have the game.

And let's be honest: at this rate the people who are getting the game either already have it or are getting it for Christmas
