 We deeply appreciate your kind offer but have chosen to decline any formal unification or partnership. We have a very dedicated and active base both here and our chats. Deviant Art was never meant to be our main outreach for our site, and we wished to distance ourselves from it as soon as this forum was finished. It would prove ultimately a distraction, and we have avoided DA for several reasons, such as the site’s performance, organization, monetization strategies, and the sites overall shifting, uncertain policies and future. We also recused ourselves from Twitter due to its divisive and overtly political atmosphere. Overall, despite our love of “American Sonic,” we wish to remain neutral when it comes to matters of officials works. In the past several opposing factions have attempted to “cancel” several creators or protest official works for not subscribing to their idea of canon, we would rather distance ourselves from such problematic intrigue, and mainly focus on fan art, and empowering creative responses to “canonical” and “official” material.  

Ultimately, we here at FreeScribes are more concerned about individual artists communicating, building up much more deep relationships, and more intensive one on one focus, on artistic and Sonic-based topics. It is not the fandom we are concerned about, it is the individual fans and their own artistic pursuits. Any form of factionalism or collectivism does not resonate with that cause.

 With this said, we have no problems with members as individuals building relationships between our two groups, particularly in an informal manner. If members wish to cross platforms, we are more than content with their individual choices. Any and all are welcome to come join us, if they choose, and vice versa. As long as they abide by our general etiquette and values, we are content with such camaraderie.

The thing is, they're actually doing the right thing, in which they made a new character to do something like this instead of taking an already established character and going for it because representation.

However, it feels forced. DC literally just drops a "oh he's bi by the way" thing out there with no real build up or hint to prior to. It felt like they just wanted to check a box off and go on their way. Just sudden, shock character development.  I wouldnt be surprised in 5 or so years this gets dropped and never spoken of again

Fallout 1 Is Getting a Remake

It's been quite some time since I played FO1, but a lot of the mechanics of the game were basically like a D&D like aspect where sometimes you attack and sometimes you dont. Plus I remember a ton of open spaces between a lot of the locations with either nothing there or of little interest.

It would be interesting to see how it plays if it does happen, but I know there's a small subsection of the Fallout fandom who hates everything Fallout since Bethesda took over.

What's interesting, as I dont think I've seen this get talked about as much, is that this was a character that Iwata wanted after seeing the results of the fan poll for Smash WiiU/3DS. So I have to imagine finally getting Sora in was not only getting a huge weight off of Sakurai's shoulders but fufulling the wish of the late Iwata.

Now iirc, while that poll's results have never been reported, one of the big Nintendo Insiders said that's 7 out of the top 10 that are now in the game. I believe Crash, Spyro, and Geno are the 3 that arent in. Though, Geno is a Mii costume, story with that is that Sakurai wanted him in but Nintendo Execs said no

Blizzard is apparently working with all 3 to settle everything though this feels like trying to prevent investors from jumping ship

It's getting worse for Activision-Blizzard

WoW's development has come to a grinding halt, nothing has been worked in two weeks.

California has filed a civil suit against Activision-Blizzard over workplace harassment (sexual & physical), abuse, violation of equal pay laws, and whole mess of other violations. Looks like This appears to be from a 2+ year investigation.

Honestly, I like the concept of it. Right now with the chip shortage and the near impossibility of getting a good GPU at a reasonable price, something like this should be great. Plus with people being disappointed with Nintendo for not making a Switch Pro (i have several theories as to why they haven't... yet) this could be something great for not only PC users but it could give Nintendo a kick it so desperately needs. The fact it's moddable too will probably be a big selling point.

However, Valve has a very poor track record when it comes to making and selling hardware. It almost feels like everyone forgot about how mismanaged the controller was, the utter failure of the Steam Link, and the botched marketting of the Steam Machines. Everyone thinks this will be different but it's got a lot of work to do

I want to see how it runs first and how well it can play more intensive games Like GTA V, RDR2, Crysis, No Man's Sky, etc. Plus how well it will handle online gaming.

And you know someone is gonna buy the $650, 512gb one just to play Team Fortress 2

GameMill developing it makes me nervous already. They're known for making a bunch of stinkers.

Probably a different Tails from that dimension. Which would be an interesting concept to be honest.

Interesting fact: This song is supposed to symbolize going to sleep for the last time and waking up as an Exo with your memory wiped.

It was a pretty good game. The rumor is that they added in the DS stuff as well. Which, IIRC, had cutscenes featuring Silver and Blaze
