Call of Cthulhu RPG: A brief look at the lore and mechanics
I like how Puffin explained mental health vs. physical health.
{Edit: Fate does pretty much the same thing by tracking physical stress & mental stress.}

Attributes are used to increase scores for broad checks. Skills/attributes add a potential proficiency bonus to these checks. And specialties are specific Specializations in the skill which gives you an advantage. For example, imagine your character has to heal someone via medicine and you have a background in Combat Medicine. Your roll would lead to a Knowledge bonus + Medicine bonus + Specialty advantage.
Hmm, that kinda sounds like how things work in Mutants & Masterminds.
{Edit: I found Puffin's video, in which he gave the Cliff's Notes version of how M&M works}

Yeah, I like tabletop; I even ran AD&D 1.5 homebrew a looooong time ago. Survival horror is outside my wheelhouse though. Closest thing I know of is the Ravenloft setting 😛 I recall that Call of Cthulhu had some sort of sanity system, but I've never played any sessions of that so I'm not familiar with the details behind the mechanics. Some games keep track of things like food/water usage, but I usual get annoyed at mechanics like that & wouldn't use it.

I'm open to the idea; I have a little more time on my hands these days It's been a looooong time since I last played tabletop though. The D&D system certainly has changed since my days of running AD&D 1.5 homebrew and 2nd edition sessions. CRPGs kinda filled the void; 2 reasons I loved Neverwinter Nights are Undermountain & the toolkit for making custom modules.
Been kinda itching to make a Tabaxi character (maybe a Bard?) after doing some readin on Patherfinder and D&D 5e And your suggestion of Eldritch Knight for Kalindra seemed to be spot on, btw; she'd weapon bond with her Greatmace.
*gets back on topic*
I was looking for something and stumbled across some songs by a group I'd never heard of before; I was impressed enough to share:
Aviators - Requiem for the King (Dark Souls II Song | Dark Acoustic)
Aviators - When Our Bodies Wash Ashore (Bloodborne Song | Dark Alternative)
Aviators - Traveler's Song (Fantasy Rock)
-
I stumbled across this & I think she's pretty good:
Maw of the King- An Original Dungeons and Dragons Inspired Song
I'm checking out her other stuff, but she also did a cover for something JoCat did:
And I've been following Puffin's Curse of Strahd Replay: *drops a link to episode 1*

Okay, this makes me want to read The Federalist Papers again:
QuoteDo you understand the Constitution? What makes America different? Ben Shapiro joins Michael Knowles to discuss The Federalist Papers, a collection of essays written by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay. They discuss the founders’ vision for a limited government that protects the God-given rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

I recently discovered Aaron Watson & I really like this song:

I did not see a topic for this, so I decided to make one after seeing this video:
A little digging unearthed that FunPlus is a massive scam company now hiding behind name of Century Game (since so many people learned how badly they scammed people).
This CNET article reported that Zhongji Holding, a company based in Shanghai that doesn't make video games, bought DianDian Interactive, a subsidiary of FunPlus back in 2014 for nearly 1 billion dollars.
25 complaints about their games (mostly King of Avalon and Guns of Glory) were posted here.

I'm kinda surprised that he admitted that Green Knuckles lasting so long was the result of poor planning on his part.
(As for Manak, I didn't like his art very much either :p)- 1

Both Ys I & II were originally suppose to be one game, but were decided to be split into two games. I can't find any sources on this and why, it could just be popular consensus. It could also be due to hardware limitationsI've heard that too, and I vaguely recall that "hardware issues" was the most popular theory as to why it was split into 2 games.
According to the Wiki entry, They were later re-released together in the enhanced remake Ys I & II (1989) The source that was referenced is now a broken link but the interview page still works.
I'll have to do some more digging; haven't come across any official reason/statements yet.

Can't deny that, but there were things going on at Archie Comics before the lawsuit. I found a pretty good article about the whole situation.
K.P. was notorious for not getting along with other writers:
QuoteHis comments about Flynn made him appear as a man with a vendetta, one who was taking his ball and going home.
-
Yikes! The years haven't been kind to him o.O;
Gotta admit that the Princess Sally mini was a turning point for the series, and I like the darker tone (more like Sat AM than AoStH). I also recall that a lot of the posters on Ken's messageboard were female fans. He may have done a lot for the comic, but he was also a big part of the reason it all went to crap - I think that his lawsuit was the final nail in Archie Sonic's coffin.
-
Thanks 4 the advice; now I just need time to follow it.
BTW, already knew what gesture drawings were, but that was from a class I took over 20 years ago
-
Unfortunately, no; just haven't had the time (or inspiration) to just sit down & draw 😛
{edit: maybe some suggestions could help? Something like MoKat doing something silly? Or re-visit an old drawing from my fanart page?}

Warcraft 3 reforged is also a major disappointment. All the improvements they said would be in during Blizzcon 2018 isn't in
Yeah, definitely; and check out their overreaching use policy:

Makes sense to me.

Claire Voyance? Really? That sounds more like a character from Carmen Sandiego than Sonic

This was a funny episode and exemplifies the problem of American corporations with global influence nowadays. They have all the money and market connections but basically sell out the values and country that built and forged their fortune.
what’s worse is that it’s not just Disney, the NBA, or a weed farmer in on this China business. It’s Silicon Valley (Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc.), Hollywood and even Democrat and Republican politicians. Free trade with a country that suppresses free trade means nothing.
I agree. As Chris pointed out in an episode of China Uncensored, Trey Parker and Matt Stone used that episode to vent their frustration at Hollywood & commercial self-censorship in order to appease the CCP & chase Chinese money.

Blizzard and Apple Kowtow to China—But Not South Park

I'm not a big fan of South Park, but I loved this episode!
{Edit: "Video unavailable"; of course it is. *finds a reaction video* South Park - 23x2 Band in China - Group Reaction (*language warning*)
Also, life imitates art - ‘South Park’ banned from Chinese internet after ‘Band in China’ episode [NY Post]}
What did you guys think of it?
(btw, probably NSFW; after all it's South Park)

Shame on Blizzard for kissing CCP butts! >.<
{edit: at least some of the employees have the guts to say "this is wrong"}

Yea, I seriously HATE that three fusions bullcrap of Naugus. It doesn't make any sense. Not to mention it's way too easy to use as plot convenience as Archie Sonic did.
*nods* Stupid stuff like that is one of many reasons I did not care much for Karl Bollers' run on Archie StH 😛
QuoteThe way I see Julian and Naugus' relationship is similar to the one of Plagueis and Sidious' from Star Wars. Julian would help Naugus as long as it was beneficial to him. Once it wasn't, he would cut him off permanently whether through exile or death. Oddly enough, the fact Naugus was out for revenge on Julian that intently shows me he took his betrayal very personally, that unlike Julian, he is a wizard of his word and would honor their deal as long as Julian did as well.
Heck, I think he formed a partnership with Snively soon after more for the intent of getting Julian out of the picture than taking over the planet
I see their relationship in a similar light. Heh, Naugus seemed to really enjoy shifting Julian's head into random things in "The Void"
