  1. Since Elden Ring is basically an open-world Souls game, I'm putting this here:

Unlikely Pair Ahead「Elden Ring Comic Dub」

Some of the commenters had good ideas, like this one:

though sadly as we can see from Disney’s sorry state, it doesn’t have a happy ending for Pixar. A majority of their staff left.

And I don't blame them. John Lasseter was part of the problem, but he wasn't the only problem with Pixar's management.

    from 2017:

John Lasseter Taking Leave of Absence From Pixar Amid “Missteps” [Hollywood Reporter]

    Quote

Disney Animation head John Lasseter is taking a leave of absence from Pixar after acknowledging “painful” conversations and unspecified “missteps,” he wrote Tuesday in a memo to staff, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter

Lasseter’s statement arrived as THR was preparing a story detailing alleged misconduct by the executive at Disney/Pixar.

Lasseter is best known as one of the founders of Pixar, which began as part of the graphics group at Lucasfilm. Along with Ed Catmull, he popularized CGI in animation with early films like Toy Story, A Bug’s Life and Monsters Inc.

from 2018: Pixar Co-Founder to Leave Disney After ‘Missteps’ [NY Times]

    Quote

Disney said on Friday that Mr. Lasseter — the creative force behind the billion-dollar “Toy Story,” “Cars” and “Frozen” franchises — would take on a consulting role at the company until the end of the year and then leave permanently. He will not have an office in the interim.

Mr. Lasseter, 61, served as chief creative officer of Pixar Animation Studios, which he helped found, and the separate Walt Disney Animation studio. Disney did not name replacements. Jennifer Lee, a director of “Frozen,” is expected to be promoted at Walt Disney Animation, and Pete Docter, the director of films like “Up” and “Inside Out,” is expected to take on greater responsibilities at Pixar, according to a person briefed on the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because plans had not been finalized.

A self-described Peter Pan, Mr. Lasseter has long been known for his jolly public persona and tendency to greet anyone in his proximity — subordinates, stars, fans, reporters — with lengthy bear hugs. In 2011, The Wall Street Journal published a photo slide show of his frequent squeezes, saying he had handed out at least 48 of them in one day at the office.

Seems like after that, Pixar fully jumped onto the Woke Wagon :P

Pixar staff accuse Disney of repeatedly censoring queer content [Daily Dot]

    Quote

This new letter from Pixar staff accuses Disney executives of habitually removing queer content from Pixar projects. “Nearly every moment of overtly gay affection is cut at Disney’s behest, regardless of when there is protest from both the creative teams and executive leadership at Pixar.”

  3. I didn't see this posted anywhere before, so I'm putting it here because it seems to be a pretty good primer on SCP. It's somewhat long though, but I guess it had to be in order to explain the Fondation, splitter groups, etc..

The SCP Iceberg Explained (COGNITOHAZARD) [Wendigoon ~52 min.]

BTW, has anybody heard about the one called "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!"? I can't seem to find it. Hmm...

    Is it related to SCP-2983?Hmmm...

    *checks the Site-81 Community Cookbook*

    *gets distracted*

I had no idea SCP-096 was such a good cook! O.O

    ...

And -never- ask SCP-173 where it got the "fudge" 🤮

  4. I found another explanation of the FNAF timeline; it make more sense to me than MatPat's.

The Complete Five Nights at Freddy's Story Explained [Wendigoon ~80 min.]

{Edit: I suppose I'm in the camp that wishes "remnant" wasn't a thing, but (as one of the commenters pointed out) it made its way into the games (notably Pizza Simulator/FNAF 6).

    Quote

Remnant is Canon to the video games unfortunately. In the Insanity ending of Pizzeria Simulator they show a bunch of blueprints for various animatronics and object, one of them being the scooper which has a Remnant injector and Remnant reservoir listed on said blueprint, I also think remnant is a lame addition to the story honestly and wish it wasn't in the game.

  5. The Sanction-Fueled Destruction of the Russian Aviation Industry [Wendover Productions ~22 min.]

There's some good examples of how the aviation industry works in general in this video.

And here are some comments that made me laugh:

    Quote

when in a war, you can count on Wendover to make a video about the Logistics and Aviation about it.

    Quote

If aliens invaded Earth, Wendover would come out with a video about how it affected airline logistics.

    Quote

What’s insane is all these planes leased by Russia are all up for repossession and one was even repossessed in Mexico. I’d have loved to see that live-streamed.

    🤣 It's funny cuz it's true.

I just realized that I've never seen Double Zeta, so we'll just wait for Sorzo to weigh in on it. Gundam Wing was the first series I saw (thanks to Cartoon Network).

Been hearing rumors of a DLC, or at the very least a wanted DLC where instead of Freddy as your main man, any of the other three animatronics could be your partners in an alternate story mode.

That sounds way too ambitious; how would that work anyway? In the main story, the other animatronics provide upgrades for Freddy.

FYI, physical realease of Security Breach is due out on April 1st (according to GameStop). It obviously missed the March 15 target date 😉

    ...

Yeah, it was delayed; if it actually -does- come out on April Fool's day I will be laughing my butt off 😆

I don't recall too many stand out Amy Stories, though she does have some of the more weaker STC Stories of all time. It's either that or the stories she star in are some of the weirdest in the comic, and THAT is saying something.

I think you just made my case for me :D

34 minutes ago, Mike Arcade said:

Despite that, I'd still prefer this Amy over the one from Sonic X or the games from 2003 to 2010 any day of the week.

I can agree with you on that^ at least.

34 minutes ago, Mike Arcade said:

Why did he have such a grudge against his own race, and where did they go? Nobody knows! At the very least, we got some cool STC-Online issues with him in it. He literally only had two or so appearances in the Official Comic.

Ikr? His air of mystery is part of his appeal.

Even though Dr. Fintiveus is a different beast, Zachary paved the way for a Genius Echidna Antagonist for Knuckles.

Dimitri (of the Dark Legion) preceded Dr. F in Archie's comics though.

    *looks up 1st appearances*

    Dr. Zachary

    From Sonic News Network Wiki:

    Quote

The concept of Doctor Zachary and the story in which he first appeared ("The Homecoming", from Sonic the Comic #65 to #68) was created by artist Richard Elson

No date? Ok, found it on the manga wiki:

Sonic the Comic #65 (November 1995)

    Knuckles the Echidna #1

    • February 1997 (release date)
    • April 1997 (publication date)

Yeah, Dimitri came about 2 years later. I seriously doubt he was inspired by Dr. Zachary though because Penders didn't know about StC at the time, let alone read any of it. I don't recall him even mentioning the series, but I'll dig through my archives of his  messageboard later & see if I can find anything.

  10. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022) - "Final Trailer" - Paramount Pictures

    Quote

The world’s favorite blue hedgehog is back for a next-level adventure in SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2. After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.

From the filmmakers behind The Fast and the Furious and Deadpool, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2 stars James Marsden, Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, and Jim Carrey returning, alongside new additions Shemar Moore, with Idris Elba as the voice of Knuckles, and Colleen O'Shaughnessey as the voice of Tails.

Man, after making a few Fleetway videos, I've realized that almost every story involves Amy getting kidnapped.

And -that- sums up why I don't think much of Fleetway's version of Amy.

Metallix may have been inspired by Sonic CD, but I think Dr. Zachary is more interesting:
