Y'know the funniest part about that is that the entirety of the sonic classics for megadrive barely fill a micro-SD drive. Technological progress I tells ya, it makes me feel so old.

I still remember the 8mb PS2 Memory Cards and that was considered a lot back then

  2. So with the "Sonic 2017" trailer yesterday showing that Classic Sonic will be making a return, one of the biggest questions has been "How will Classic Sonic be introduced into this game?"

I pass the question on to you guys: How will Classic Sonic be introduced into this game?

Chaos Emeralds? Time Eater 2? Another Robotnik/Eggman Invention? Other? I want to hear your thoughts and theories guys.

    Double-header here.

Trying to respond to a comment, unfortunately, after adding a quote, I couldn't type outside the quote box. I tried to refresh to take a different approach, only to see that either the old problem of the comment box autosaving and keeping the same problem is back, or it was never fixed in the first place.

I'll look into it. Could have just been a temporary glitch

  4. This is going to be the topic where we will talk about all the new games and big gaming news.

    http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/07/20/rocket-league-ps4-xbox-one-cross-network-play-now-ready-for-release-only-needs-sonys-approval

Rocket League has announced that Cross-Platform Play between Xbox Live, PC & PSN is ready to be implemented "In as little as a few hours" but Psyonix vice president Jeremy Dunham says he is awaiting for Sony's approval first. Major Nelson already agreed to the idea months ago.

    Thoughts?

  5. I would keep some since of a continuity for the show. They rarely have a passing reference to a previous episode and when it does it's something rather unnoticed. I would have a since of continuity by having a few past events brought up, keep some minor story lines going (Tails & Zooey for an example to see how that goes), and maybe have a multi part episode or something.

The whole show just seems "Fire & Forget" to me

At this point, I'm not even sure. It's an unusual little mass of scribbles that takes a good deal of inspiration from Bioshock Infinite, of all things. It's not something I really look back on with fondness, BUT it's still canon to the main "story" of my 112233C universe. It's just, at the moment, within broad strokes. I've had the idea of rewriting it with what skills I have now, but it's on the backburner at the moment due to real life events and because I'm working on another new story.

Well if you ever decide to rewrite it I look forward to reading it.

112233C... is that a Futurama reference?

    Yeah, I noticed.

No, actually. It's one of my more recent ones, around March this year in fact. I've been on DA for...about seven or so years now. And all that time I've been writing stories. Most of them were collaborations with friends of mine and they were...not good. I mean they're getting kind of popular now, for some reason, especially this one I called The Bee Bacteria, but I don't think they've held up; the dialogue was stilted, the actions of the characters made no sense and it just had no flow or sense of competency. Every now and again I've tried to do it as writing is one thing I consider myself to be good at, alongside designing. Freedom Dies With Me was actually the second major story I tried to write on my own (the first was this one called Coming Home, which isn't on DA), and sometimes I write a little story or have some dialogue for the drawings I make that I think need a bit more exposition behind them, since my drawing skills are...not good either.

May I ask what Coming Home was about?

Bad writing Ian rewriting her personality to tell his bad story

If we're going to try and marry her portrayal under Bollers with her derailment under Ian, it's quite simple: There was a disconnect. Rosemary would've been a much better mother if she'd been around during his formative years. Unfortunately, by the time she's around, Tails is already eleven years old, and in many ways, has fully matured (Because nobody except the DIC writers could actually make him act like a kid). She feels that she doesn't really know him, and the feeling is probably mutual. She may also not feel completely okay with who he grew up to be, and feels that he seems more like Sonic and Sally's child than her own.

So then why didnt she at least attempt to get to know him? Armedeaus at least made the attempt and partially succeeded in a way. Even if she wasnt okay with who he grew up to be, she didnt show any love for her own kid.

    Anyone else wanna weigh in?

  9. Thing is, a lot of the times Valve has good intentions when they impliment things such as Greenlight, Early Access, and the paid mods. Unfortunately the bitter laid plans of mice and men go astray.

Greenlight itself isnt terrible but it's just mismanaged. People can get in some really crappy stuff (like most anime games) but there have been several gems in there. It just needs to be better managed. Early Access isnt a bad idea either as you can play the game and see the development cycle play out in front of you. It's supposed to be a way to give feedback to developers about bugs and things that should be added/deleted. Yet you have games like Day-Z that abuse this. I bought Prison Architect Early Access and I loved it, I gave a bit of feedback and I was able to see the game grow right before my eyes.

While I'm not for the idea of "paid mods," I do think we should be given the option to tip/donate the mod creators as they usually spend hours, days, even months developing their own flairs to games such as Skyrim and Civ V. @TheRedStranger and I talked about this one day. There are multiple mods on Skyrim I would l could give some $ to help the creators along and it would give them motivation to keep doing what they are doing and improve the games.

But just look at what Steam has done,  while there was a lot of bad aspects they have had in recent memory, but there's a ton of good that outweights the bad. Think 12 years ago, a lot of people hated Steam but now look at it.
