  1. Though not announced yet internationally, a Mega Drive Mini 2 has officially been announced! Now with Sega CD games included with over 50 titles! Including a brand new Mega Drive Port of the Original Fantasy Zone.

….and no, I won’t be making an insane review like last time. XP

I’ve been meaning for months to do a post asking if you guys would like a Genesis Mini Sequel and what games what you’d want, but now it’s official!

  2. So we got a gameplay preview!

And…it’s probably the most underwhelming preview of all time. No combat, just running around.

It looks nice, but the top trending comment so far is “It looks like a tech demo.”

They really needed to show more. Hopefully they do, because the teaser was better.

  3. My pal @Nagol had a really good start with a Resident Evil Tabletop game the other day. It blended in very well with a crossover of a certain visual novel series about a sadistic teddy bear (makes sense in context).

He did real well and I’m looking forward to our next session. Really captured the feel of RE. :)

  4. Yes, it was a very popular rumor way back in the day after Super Mario 64 came out. Honestly it doesn't really surprise me all that much, after all before that point, Luigi was always the Player 2 to Mario back then. Not having him in a Mario game was rather odd, but only really showed that Luigi wouldn't be in much 3D Mario games from then on. Aside from Luigi being playable in Galaxy anyway.

It's still nice to see this finally confirmed, though years later on the Original DS we got to play as Luigi so it all worked out. :)

One rumor that pressed on for years was for Gen 1 Pokemon that this specific out of reach truck had a Mew underneath, and that you can catch him that way. While that turned out not to be true, normally you'd have to go to a Pokemon Event in specific locations in order to get Mew Offically...but where's the fun in that?

So after so many years, this glitch was discovered where you can get Mew. It's very specific, and you can use this glitch in a few other ways to get other Pokemon, but it's really cool you can actually catch Mew...so long as you buy enough Pokeballs because it's catch rate is pretty tough as you'd expect. Check this one out guys, it's a simple, short, yet fun Fighter based on the Famicom game Joy Mech Fight. You play as one of several Robots in this Free Browser Game, playable on (as far as I can tell) any browser, or OS. Be it Windows, Mac, iPhone, and Android! Has a crossover with the Indie Fighter Robo Oh (available on Steam, but it's very cheap).

In any case, it's worth a shot checking out at no cost at all. Works with gamepads too! What's cool about this game is that you can play any of the characters in the style of Street Fighter, Joy Mech Fight, and in a style like Smash Bros! Can't recommend this little game enough. Check it out. :)

The language Tails uses when describing human and Mobian settlements is particularly odd in my opinion. It feels like it was written strangely or there's some odd human/Mobian tension in there.

Also "two worlds" was always gonna get retconned at some point. It was just a matter of when. Still surprised they went with it in the first place

It could be because that line was possibly put in haphazardly, as in they wanted to make up their mind on how to take it from there on. Best thing about it is that Two Worlds is retconned back to how it originally was. Other than some Sonic Forces plot holes here and there, it turned out well enough.

...although you do bring up a very good point. So the Humans get the continents and Mobians get to live on Islands and Archipelagoes? Granted, I don't mind that at all regarding the games, but if they actually do something with that (extremely unlikely), it would be really cool to see.

    @TheRedStranger Any thoughts on this?

  7. First in this series they’re doing where Tails shows various Sega Sonic characters questions asked by the fans. Much like previous Twitter Takeovers.

Two, MAJOR things to note. Sonic says a particular SatAM phrase, and it looks like they’re backpedaling on the Two Worlds Concept.

  8. Because Current Star Wars and Star Trek is a lumbering, undead corpse, I've recently gotten back into Gundam as a Series. Mainly looking over the Original Timeline, the Universal Century. Since I watched the Mobile Suit Gundam Film Trilogy and The Origin some years back, I've slowly gotten into Mobile Suit Gundam's sequel series, Zeta Gundam. I know the 3rd upcoming episode I'd watch will have a dark moment in the series for our main character, but I'm still looking forward to the journey of it all. Debating if I should skip Double Zeta though. @Sorzo What do you think?

And -that- sums up why I don't think much of Fleetway's version of Amy.

Metallix may have been inspired by Sonic CD, but I think Dr. Zachary is more interesting

I'd disagree on that regarding STC Amy, her getting kidnapped was part of the earlier stories more than anything else. I mean I like the fact she uses a Crossbow of all things in this series, which is a far cooler weapon than a Prop Toy Hammer (And the odd Bow). I don't recall too many stand out Amy Stories, though she does have some of the more weaker STC Stories of all time. It's either that or the stories she star in are some of the weirdest in the comic, and THAT is saying something. Despite that, I'd still prefer this Amy over the one from Sonic X or the games from 2003 to 2010 any day of the week.

I've always loved the Metallix, though Dr. Zachary has always been an interesting villain. Why did he have such a grudge against his own race, and where did they go? Nobody knows! At the very least, we got some cool STC-Online issues with him in it. He literally only had two or so appearances in the Official Comic. Even though Dr. Fintiveus is a different beast, Zachary paved the way for a Genius Echidna Antagonist for Knuckles.

  10. I'm gonna post videos about STC until we get more of the ball rolling here. In this one, the guy goes on about The Brotherhood of Metallix, one of the coolest villain faction in any Sonic Series. You think one Metal Sonic is tough? Try an entire army of them! Seriously, check this one out.

A friend of mine had this one:

    Aladdin - Sega Genesis Review

Great game, but very frustrating at certain points. At least the animation was awesome ^.^

I have yet to really play Aladdin, but I can at least say unlike the SNES game, it actually got ported to other consoles years later.

  12. I've wanted to post about this series for over the course of the year, and it's probably best to do so now as it seems as the Monument Mythos Series has apparently ended! It's from a film student who goes by Alex Kansas. It's about a different America whose history has been corrupted and marred by strange, anomalous occurrences, and how they may also effect our world as well...

It's a very strange sort of horror series, but not without a lot of cool details such as voice acting in multiple languages and pretty well done deep fakes. There was some concern from me if this was an Anti-America sort of horror series, but it never really turned out that way at all. It certainly leaves you with questions, and even ties together with another series Alex Kansas has as well. Makes me very curious what he'll do next, and if you guys have the time I suggest you give it a shot.

  13. Sega Lord X makes some excellent content, highlighting one of the best fan games ever made. Plus, a link to the newest version! So you can all play it too. It’s awesome and I highly recommend it. Then play SOR4 after that, which is a worthy official sequel and a great game in its own right.

@ByTor, Prince of Ro’den thought I’d also post this too, seriously Team Real Bout is a must have team for me. ^_^

I agree.  Gotta have a strongman & I'd rather see Haggar make the roster over Zangief.  Don't get me wrong; I had fun playing Zangief in the past, but he's been in enough SF games ;)

Indeed, same goes for Dhalsim. While I like both characters overall, others need more time in the spotlight now, both old favorites, obscure characters, and newer characters. Same goes for Blanka, with Necro he’s like a combo of Blanka and Dhalsim, always been a favorite of mine in SF3.

Although, such classic characters would be great to see in a future crossover game like MVC or CVS.

Scummy as it sounds, certainly fan favorites like Ken, Yun, and Yang I would make into DLC, although for Ken and Yun specifically I’d space them out to a Season 2 or 3.

SFV had a major DLC pacing problem until it’s last 2 or so Seasons, having characters that should have been in the base roster, or in one season’s case having only brand new characters as DLC. In this age of Season Passes for Fighters, you really gotta balance things out, lest you end up like DOA6 with no real reason to buy it when a majority of characters are already in the final edition of the last game.

At least SNK does DLC mostly well, but Namco Bandai tended to make their Tekken DLC Characters way too powerful at their debut to an insane degree. Arc System Works for Guilty Gear Strive is far too peckish with its DLC and base roster, although the characters are balanced and fun.
