  1. Looks like you're getting a good idea of your gameplay. Anything else you want ideas for?
  2. Thank you for the explanation. Another topic: Miki, Bosko, and Phineas Are all three characters playable in this game, or is MIki the only playable character? If they are playable, what is unique about them in contrast to Miki (who has the ability to use magic)? Will there be other playable characters to join the team? A more technical question: how are you planning to show the character's health? Is it just going to be an hp bar with numbers, a heart system, something else? Will the health be different when roaming through the X-tra Dimension in contrast to battling a code monster or other creature? How does a character replenish their lost health? If all the health is gone, will it be a total game over?
  3. Hey, just finished reading your first chapter. There were some common writing errors, you repeated a word in one of the paragraphs, so I didn't know if you wanted to fix them.
  4. Do you think you can clarify more about these code monsters and their reprogramming ability?
  5. So is Bosko's world inside the X-Tra Dimension? And this re-programming: is this done by her magic or something else? Note: I don't mind lending a hand with any voice acting if needed.
  6. So, why do you think it came back on the air?
  7. Hey, sorry I haven't discussed X-tra Dimenstion this past week.  You still want to discuss ideas?

  8. So you already have a back story for Miki fleshed out. That's a good start. I still need to look into earthbound before giving any suggestions for her magic. Does the gameplay start with Miki coming into the X-tra Dimension or after the creatures are possessed by the code and turn on her?
  9. I think so. To us the players, we can recognize this world is made up of codes found inside of games, but the characters themselves do not know this until they progress through the story. As for your reference to Earthbound, I would have to do some research to become more familiar with the game. I can't help too much until I have an understanding of Earthbound as you are taking references from this game. As for Miki, do you have anything else about her story? How do the monsters know about her magic? What abilities does she have that will be used in gameplay?
  10. So is the setting a game (like Wreck-it Ralph)? Is the X-Tra Dimension a game world, or is this an entirely new world. I am trying to understand if this game is about a character in another dimension or if it's about a character in a game-like world (because you mention binary code and their purpose is to corrupt the game)? Do you understand what I am asking?
  11. Okay, so the binary code is a real substance that creates real monsters. Right? So these creatures made of code have possessed the citizens of the x-tra dimension. So the code creatures main plot is to possess the creatures of the different dimensions. And they seem to want to hurt Miki. Do you have any reasons why these code creatures want to hurt only Miki? Do these creatures also want to harm their hosts, or are they only trying to hurt the main protagonist?
  12. If we want to discuss ideas for your game, I will keep it in the forum post you started so that anybody can see the activity and lend a hand if needed.  Just keep an eye on the forum.

  13. So computer code? These enemies are not real, but just made up of code?
  14. @jcbluejr01: Could we start off with the talk of the code. You mention that: What do you mean by exposed code? Is this supposed to be similar to codes found in games (similar to a Wreck-it Ralph universe) or is it something different?
  15. My dad, sister and I are stuck watching the entire SW movies this week. Will be watching episode 4 tomorrow night. I forgot how much fun this is!
  16. I guess that means I have to read it then . More homework.
  17. Does twitch give you the software needed to stream your gameplay, or did you need to find other software?
  18. Well, you seemed to know the beginning of your story. Do you have anything else planned out? Do you know where the story will take you at the end? Sometimes it helps to map out the beginning and the ending before you can figure out what storyline to place in the middle. Also, your introduction: is this part of the gameplay, or will this just be an introduction scene for the game?
  19. I concur with you, MJ Knight. Sonic 3 & Knuckles is still my favorite video game: there's just so much in the game that makes it an amazing Sonic game (platforming, exploring, collectables, enemies, hazards, various level designs, various characters, etc.).
