  1. Well another PAX in the books...

On reflection, this may have been one of the worst ones I've been to.

Wait, PAX was in March? What even happened at it?

Honestly, there was no notable games available to demo from the AAA guys. Yeah, there was the announcement of Borderlands 3 but the hype train stopped on that once we learned it's being delayed on PC by 6 months. The two biggest ones were Days Gone & FF XIV's new expansion. Nintendo's booth was always packed, so I couldn't do Yoshi's Crafted World.

The concerts were lackluster. The only panel I was interested was UpUpDownDown's live version of their D&D series Rollout and that was rather good. This time around the show felt geared towards streamers and eSports, which I am kinda okay with cause I do enjoy watching OverWatch League and I would like to see OWL grow. Facebook Gaming at least brought the Oculus Rift this year, but they had a ton of "Facebook Gaming Streamers" which I didn't even know was a thing. Discord/Twitch had another lounge on the show floor which was totally unnecessary. There were a ton of stages for gaming on the show floor which was unnecessary, those could have been in one of the side rooms.

Overall there just wasn't a lot of notable items of note there. Last year was lackluster too. I'm debating if I could justify doing two days again.
