WarTraveller
Does anyone else think this retro regression is getting in any way out of hand? What casual Sonic just happens to have a Record Player sitting around?

What casual Sonic just happens to have a Record Player sitting around? War Traveler you Philistine. *Cue audience laugh track.* Why do people still paint rather than only use a Wacom? Why do people use real clay other than Zbrush? Why do I make and have taken classes in jewelry, painting, ceramics, printmaking, etc? Because physical works always have an incredibly dinstnct and unique aesthetics that cannot be digitally reproduced experientially due to their myriad of asymptotally uncompressable qualities. Record Players are still widely sold in electronic stores because analogogue has a distinct uncompressed and warm sound compared to digital music like MP3’s. To basically replicate analogue sound perfectly you would have to have an infinite amount of data...Vinyl has an extremely distinct Aural character. It will exists always the same way physical pictures will. Because people need tangiable experiences. To hold it in the hand, to see its own unique patina develop over time, to create a unique space to listen to music and hear analogue’s subtleties is a rewarding experience and a rewarding break from hearing a Sonic tune on a 480p YouTube video on a cell phone with crappy reception on a crowded bus. Also tape is making a come back for its unique sound: It’s awesome hearing Retrowave Music on a vinyl or a tape for example. As musician it’s very rewarding to make music and have it appear in the same format as the predecessors you emulate.
WarTraveller
Yeah, good luck listening to a vinyl on the bus. Perhaps Walkmans but with vinyl will come back in style.
