  1. I tried that, and all it did was place a link. I'm sorta reffering to what everyone else did on the "what I'm listening to" thread.
  2. OK this is probably the place to ask: how does one attach a video?
  3. Or, since they did this with Fire & Ice, they are purposely holding off the game until 2017 to make sure it's ready and that all the development on it is complete? The last time they rushed an anniversary game, we got Sonic '06. And I'm pretty sure no one wants that again or anything close to that from Sonic Team ever again. It doesnt show they are incompetent, it shows that they arent rushing the games again to make some sort of special date just for the sake of having it for an anniversary year. Its shows they have learned from their mistakes or at least trying to. Does it suck that we arent getting a "main game" this year? Yes it does but if they pushed it back into 2017 to make sure we have a good quality game then I'm fine with it. Also, they said "No main Sonic game in 2016". They didnt say "No Main Sonic game for the 25th anniversary." So they technically have until June 23rd, 2017 to give us a "Sonic 25th Anniversary Game" I kind of agree with both these statements, I wouldn't want another sonic 06 due to crunch-rushing, however like wartraveller I find sega's lack of action and planning to be overtly frustrating. They had years to develop another sonic title, yet instead they divied the IP out to a third party (which keep in mind sega's development teams wouldn't even have to do anything for) and subsequently drove it into the ground via lack of basic cohesion.
  4. magic worked. humour aside this one was really fun to do actually, thanks for the find!!! I tried to take into consideration a bit of what everyone's been saying and this was the result, hope its good. (as for why marines there dressed like that, its what I couldn't fit on blaze and also because i just felt like it)
  5. might as well give this a shot in no particular order: fallout: both 3 and new vegas. people give fallout 3 a megaton of crap just for not being new vegas, and while yes its story was weak it had better locations while new vegas had a better story. to me that's like saying any game preceding its sequels is bad and should be better because its sequel did exactly what it was supposed to do; improve on the previous work. sonic: pretty much all of them, except for the storybook series and werehog thanks to the fact my wii was brutal for batteries. halo: all of them but wars, halo wars was not good aside from its cutscenes looking good. star wars battlefront 1: my preference for this one is due to the fact that it was more complete/better designed visually and level wise, as opposed to its sequel which emphasized game modes and cohesion with the psp rather than good level design, which made my overall experience worse. dust an elysian tail: this game was fantastic. I first played the demo in 2012 when I had no money to buy it, and got it free a few months/a year later with an XBL game with gold promotion. I actually plan on buying it for steam it was that good. TES 5: skyrim, you yell at things and then basically shoot laser beams from your mouth, whats not to love? freedom planet: I got this in late 2015, shortly before the announcement of its sequel (which made me think of dust throughout the trailer in terms of animation) and just after the release of its indiebox limited edition. I called it the love child of both sonic and rocket knight, which isnt a bad thing. its story wasn't the best, but it was still solid. pokemon LG E and Pl: leafgreen, emerald, and platinum, even if I couldn't beat the elite 4. age of mythology: an oldie but a goodie, my favorite things were its cheats and TW the bridge deathmatch, spyro 2-3: just some good old fashioned ps1 collect-a-thoning, also screw hunter.
  6. you know that would be a great idea actually, the few times that I've actually tried lining and colouring I've used a combination of gimp and paint which really doesn't work that well. thanks for the feedback! I based a lot of this drawing off of the reboot sketches for bunnie as well as the original SatAM design, which is the main reason I kept her hair short (I've never liked long hair bunnie) and cybernetics simple. As for the body, there is no excuse as to why bunnie isn't more feminine as I've drawn characters more feminine before, I honestly have no Idea why I toned her back so much.
  7. well here's the next one as promised: first up is one of the best characters from SatAM, bunnie rabbot on a side note I found out its my scanner on top of all things that's picking up smudges, so i thickened the lines up a bit and made her features cleaner to hopefully offset it.
  8. It was always the best part of visiting my cousins house, ocarina of time, majoras mask, golden eye, you name it! Sadly I never owned one myself, I was a genesis kid who threw in with the playstation
  9. I'll have to give it a shot! Thanks! Up next is probably gonna be bunnie and rotor, I'm really worried about drawing rotor.
  10. Ugh, I wish I could say not have him exist period but that's not how this works. So with that out of the way, let's get started: I'd have him not be super wealthy. It disconnects the viewer as he's the everyman/fan and it doesn't work if he's the rich kid as he becomes unrelatable. secondly I'd have him be introverted and super shy, social settings aren't his forté, meaning that sonic and Co are the first people he opens up to. Lastly I would try and not make him steal the spotlight from sonic and Co, meaning he won't be used plot wise if it hurts another characters establishing moment. Also make sure that the focus doesn't linger on him too long So with that out of the way, I've got another one for you: the final frontier, the final season, SPACE. how would you handle cosmo, her people, and the metarex?
  11. here's one that I remember from back in the day: there once was a game called crashday, and in it was a basic level editor that is pictured here and in said editor if you didn't place objects just right, welcome to the rainbow void of windows xp lag as you fall into the underside of the world.
  12. you hit it right on the head with pressure as that's the main killer for me when it comes to drawing as I'm always adding more when I shouldn't be, though I am trying to improve on that its taking a bit more time then I'd like. as for the eraser however, I've found that my old 'mechanical' statedelter one was the best thanks to its non-invasive size, but at present I've been using a much bulkier one which erases and smudges the spots I'm trying to avoid and frustrates me as its very "all or nothing". to me the power armour over robot is good for two reasons; the first being it doesn't require the complete replacement of most of her innate abilities for things like headlasers, rather it accentuates and improves them making her much more of a tough opponent (think more like power armour in halo and fallout). the second is that even then its still an over-glorified bomb collar, meaning that the heroes have reason to be cautious as they could harm/kill her trying to help her, to which eggman would abuse for every last vile drop (and probably lead to his downfall by gloating). the greatest tragedy of spark of life is how much more character would have been shown if that had been the way things had gone, with the reveal being heart-wrenching as we find out how and why phage came in to being. but sadly old spaghetti legs somehow needed another minion rather than the comic having any form of established rogues gallery of different characters NOT AFFILIATED with eggman.
  13. honestly that was unintentional, it smeared thanks to a combination of things from my own dissatisfaction with portions of her features and having a garbage eraser, to my hand dragging across the page by accident when I was trying to scan it. that said, it is definitely something I need to work on not having occur in the future. Thanks for the feedback!!!
  14. Thanks for the feedback!!! I find that most characters in the sonic franchise wind up following that trend, so I try to add a bit of variation between them if its possible.
  15. well I said I'd make sally and antoine wearing soleanna outfits, and here they are: princess sally of soleanna (I didn't realise how close sally came to the other picture of sally till it was almost too lated) And antoine, captain of the royal guard
  16. Well here's what was supposed to be another round of concept sketch interpretations, however after looking at the redesign concepts I found myself disillusioned with actually completing it. so instead I drew sally in a more preboot/SatAM-like design, and found it STILL looks better than what I was gonna do as that design is literally more timeless. on that note, I DID complete a mecha-sally: I took WAY more inspiration from SatAM when drawing her, however I find de-robotization=new outfit is still a dumb concept in practice AND theory, unless the outfit were to come about after she were to isolate herself following the mecha sally arc for about ten issues (effectively writing her out thanks to the fact she would be almost comparative to peeta mellark, that's PTSD for ya). lastly, as I was drawing these I came across this little sketch I did from the arc with phage: It was because I never read the arc and heard how nicole's new origin story was that she was basically created off the scan of ellidy's dead daughters brain (Halo logic amirite?), as well as the few pictures of phage and the whole "who or what is phage" moniker associated with it led me to believe that the twist was gonna be phage was actually nikki all along, or at least what was left of her. my theory was that nicole was the bulk of nikki's personality, while phage was the fragmented remains of nikki's memories and emotions given form.
  17. I could probably try that, I felt there were a few decent designs that would mesh pretty well actually.
  18. I wanna say freedom planet so bad right now but its technically not sonic so its disqualified, leaving me with generations as being the best if only for its gameplay.
  19. oooh this is tough, I loved advance 3, rush adventure was fantastic and worthy of my personal choice for being the end of the classic continuity, and riders 1 is basically colours and generations on loop. I guess I gotta go with heroes because it was the first 3D sonic game I ever owned, sooooo nostalgia wins this time.
  20. It seems to have jumped to the breaking news section now
  21. adventure 1, I was just too disappointed with the others to see them as more than gimmicky.
  22. sonic mars, a bit of polish here and there with the more ludicrous nonsense removed might have made for a great title (I say making it like a one screen sonic rush with advance 3 sprinkled in the right bits and places)
  23. You know I've actually had a similar idea before, however my idea was to have super sonic unable to beat him using just brute strength without risking innocent civilians, leading to him using his wits to goad scourge into going super with both the emeralds and the beryl (and maybe the sol emeralds if someone could make it work without contrivance) leading to scourge becoming a god in his own eyes, before the energy begins to promptly consume him as the conflicting energies begin to cause a chain reaction on a molecular level. I'd then have sonic(or shadow) use chaos control to teleport him a nice safe distance away in space and allow all that energy to go full on super nova inside of him. scourge goes boom, we avoid using blood to exemplify how dead he is (keeping in line with most mandates in the comic regarding it), and if he were to come back in a sense, it would be an entirely new character created by the lingering energy spit out by his ethereal ashes.
  24. Might be worth a shot, however I don't feel as though I could really do them any justice when compared to the original SatAM designs. (on a side note I might draw sally in elise's dress with antoine dressed as a useless soleanna guard at some point, I've always wanted to do that) Thanks!!! Now as for the hand pressure, thats always been my biggest issue for years. I've improved a bit since, but it still creeps up on me from time to time. (it also doesn't help that my scanner is a piece of junk that only scans the darkest of colours I tell ya) I'll try to take it to heart and see what I can do! I've been drawing on and off (way more off than I like to admit) for around seven years now. sadly I have to decline, I start a new job tomorrow and I'm gonna be too busy for the next couple of months to actually be able to keep up with something like that.
