  1. I kinda like the design to be honest now that it has settled in. I do agree with the notion that there's a ton of character depth but not characteristic depth in the franchise. Alas with everything from Archie with the possible exception of the Freedom Fighters no longer going to be used they need to shore up the characters... even though they could just use the ones they had prior. My main issue is how they introduced her. The first few days before the reveal it looked strikingly similar to Sally, which seems to have been their intention. Bold marketing strategy that got people talking but when you have a fan favorite in limbo and the silhouette looks identical to said character, ethically it might have not been the right move. Course if Sally gets revealed in the next few days/weeks then it's a moot point Also, notice how there's no cover for Issue #3 yet....
  2. Again, they would have said something by now. Combing over the Facebook group, twiiter, reddit, etc. shows that there's quite a few fans riding on the notion that they're gonna be there and if not they're not gonna get a subscription. Just remember: this was in the prequel comic for Forces: And it appears the first arc continues the story
  3. It's already on the first post Alex. I hyperlinked it onto the one that says "Cover 2"
  4. It's not a bad design. I'll be curious how she goes forward They havent confirmed that yet. They still have yet to say if the FF are returning or not

With a group of villagers under attack, will even the combined forces of these two heroes be enough to take down Rough and Tumble??? 6. If it's a new character, okay fine. No big issue since it's been said that there will be new characters. But keeping the fate of the FF in limbo for this long is aggravating some fans. It's becoming like the Dragons in Game of Thrones ("They're Coming!")
  7. This here is the topic to discuss IDW Sonic issues and Solicits when they come available. Unless it's a special issue (crossovers, milestone issues, and other special issues) all discussion will be done here: Without further ado: We have the Covers of #1 & #2 as well as the solicit for #2. Cover #1 & Variant. Cover #2 & Variant. Issue #1 Solicit: Sonic the Hedgehog #1—Cover A: Tyson Hesse—GEM OF THE MONTH Ian Flynn (w) • Tracy Yardley (a) • Tyson Hesse (c) SONIC’S RACING INTO A NEW ADVENTURE! After defeating the evil Dr. Eggman’s latest plot, Sonic is racing around the world to shut down the robotic Badnik forces that are still attacking villages. But it’s a big job for one hedgehog—even Sonic! Fortunately, he’ll have some help from his best friend: Tails! The banter is fun, and the stakes are high, but things get really serious when Amy presents Sonic with a big request: rejoin the Resistance! Expected in-store date: 4/11/18
  8. I'm still sticking with "Sally with a bit of her fleetway design mixed in"
  9. We see more of the mysterious character. It kinda looks like a combination of Archie/SatAM's version of Sally with Fleetway's Sally... which would be interesting
  10. I doubt the image is Tails... cause we all know he's gonna be there and has been announced. The Hand could be jumbled a bit to throw people off base and let speculation run. Looking at it closer it feels the image itself is zoomed in and made to appear that way on purpose
  11. Teaser could be Sally, it does kinda match her cheek fur
  12. I mean Tracey isnt bad. I do agree that bringing just about everyone back basically looks like a tribute band but at the same time, starting with Tracey gives it a sense of familiarity
  13. (One of) the Cover of Issue #1 drawn by Yardley!
  14. Ohh it gets even worse: Leaked documents showing they're using AI to change video games DURING gameplay to force micro-transactions It's not only EA, it could be a lot of other companies too. This seems to be from an outside marketing firm trying to sell their AI/ad tech to execs at game companies The game in the presentation is EA's Anthem... developed by BioWare. Because people know about this it will mean one thing: It's gonna end up like BattleFront 2 and could cause BioWare to shut down (EA isn't high on them anymore cause of Andromeda) There are some discrepancies in the slides so it could either be a poor marketing firm that didn't proofread or fake but at the same time, considering the mobile gaming market and EA's recent ideas make this plausible
  15. IDW has created a Facebook group for the Sonic Comic I think this is a brilliant move by their part, they'll directly be able to hear from the fans themselves
  16. Ya know, Futurama did a really good job with music in the series And yes, Mark Hamel is rapping as the Hanukkah Zombie
  17. Still under wraps for the time being. First solicits should be due soon. I usually follow Donnie (SSF1991) he's a good brother.
  18. They weren't written that well so it's not a huge loss. I provided a better way to have the bosses easily in the WWYDD post.
  19. We got some new news... and it's not necessarily good. Ian Flynn confirmed on BumbleKast that none of his characters from Archie will be returning at all in IDW Sonic. HOWEVER he has yet to say anything about the Freedom Fighters, who aren't technically Archie characters. I still believe if the Freedom Fighters weren't going to be in it, we would have told about it by now.
  20. You can pre-order the first volume now on Amazon for $16 (So the First 4 issues by my guess). It's titled "Fallout" and here's the description: Join the Blue Blur for brand-new adventures as he and his friends race around the world to defeat the evil Dr. Eggman’s robotic forces! The evil genius Dr. Eggman has been foiled–but the work of Sonic the Hedgehog isn’t over yet! In the aftermath of the latest epic battle, rogue robots continue to attack small villages around the world. In order to succeed, Sonic will need the help of his friends Tails, Knuckles, and Amy, along with some new and surprising allies. This new collection from acclaimed writer Ian Flynn features the blue blur like you’ve never seen him before. Gotta go fast! About the Author: Ian Flynn is a freelance writer for multiple forms of media. He’s also “that Sonic guy” as his portfolio of Sonic the Hedgehog work makes abundantly clear. He was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina and is currently based out of Toronto, Ontario, with easy business ties to both sides of the border. In addition to writing, he’s part of a podcast/gaming channel series called the BumbleKast "New and Surprising Allies" seems interesting though I'm curious if they are keeping it vague until the solicits come out
  21. Free til the end of January and SEGA is allowing you to download it before then even if you don't have the game. And let's be honest: at this rate the people who are getting the game either already have it or are getting it for Christmas
  22. There's a rumor going around that Mania could be getting some DLC soon. Possibly a ton of new levels
  23. Sounds like EA is attempting to do some damage control
