  1. And then they would definitely lose (at least) 1/3 of their subscriptions.
  2. News from the Sonic Town Hall Panel: The Freedom Fighters will NOT be in the comic in 2018. HOWEVER, they may be in 2019 as Joe Hughes has said "The door is still very much open." https://twitter.com/tssznews/status/978051982563913734
  3. My interest has gone down a bit since I've seen more info about the comic. There's some questionable decisions in terms of what Ian said he's gonna do/not gonna do, Rough and Tumble look like to be generic bully villains, and IDW being vague doesnt help.
  4. Do it, we would like to see it. Keep posting dude, you have some good stuff and good insight in the other topics.
  5. 1. New Game. This clearly looks like it was in development for awhile 2. Shadow from Sonic, Lucario (and A Gen VII Mon) from Pokemon, Someone from Xenoblade 2, Snake from MGS. 3. Ice Climbers without a doubt. They werent in 4 cause they couldnt get them to work on the 3DS version. 4. Brawl. While some characters (mainly Meta Knight) were broken the game itself was fantastic. Stage Maker was great, Subspace was a really great story mode, and it had something for everyone
  6. To be completely honest, Chronicles was one of my favorites during that time. I always thought Sonic would work well in an RPG and Chronicles did a fair job with it, issue and all. The concept and story was a breath of fresh air during that dark span of 05-09. Plus it was great seeing another (good-written) Echidna that wasn't made by a certain former comic writer. Seeing you guys trying to remaster it gives me the hope that the fans could play the game that was intended to be and maybe go beyond.
  7. On Ian's latest podcast, he adds some new details
  8. Well take a look at Overwatch. Their boxes are just for cosmetics such as sprays, taunts, skins, and PoG intros. They dont affect gameplay at all. You can buy them yes but you could also buy credits just to get that skin or intro you want. I think Blizzard is doing it right in that regard. There's a way to do them right, there's a way to do them wrong, then there's EA
  9. I suggest following Extra Credits for the next month cause they're gonna do a 3-4 part series on it
  10. Hawaii has introduced a bill to the state legislature that would regulate Loot Boxes in games. Key points include: would prohibit sales of loot box games to consumers younger than 21 years old. The legislation defines the loot boxes as a randomized in-game reward that can be bought for real money, whether or not the rewards are either cosmetic/non competitive or competitive would require video game publishers to label their games with notices that they contain loot boxes disclose what the rates are of receiving each reward in their system. However; Heavy points out multiple flaws and shortcomings of this bill The argument they bring up is that it punishes retailers and clerks, not game companies. The bill mentions the notion that game companies can add ‘predatory’ content to games via updates and content patches but makes no attempt to make that illegal The bill makes no mention of an exception for free-to-play games on PC, Consoles, or Mobile – in fact making only the *sale* of games with loot boxes illegal, *not* making it illegal for minors to access them once they have the game; meaning kids who still need their mom to purchase a game like Shadow of War, can still hop in and purchase loot boxes once they own it; and game developers can sell them, because the bill also makes no mention of age-restrictive tools. Also ignores online retailers such as Steam, PSN, XBLMP
  11. Ian Flynn has conducted an interview with Game Informer concerning the new IDW Comic Ian also clarified some of his comments
  12. From what I have seen on r/SonicTheHedgehog, there seems to be equal praise and criticism of Forces. There are some, like WT, who were disappointed by Forces but wanted to love it. There's some who outright praise the game and maybe avoid the flaws a bit. Then there's that middle cluster like me who like/enjoyed the game but arent sugarcoating the flaws and are pointing them out. My 750k-1mill estimate seems to be a conservative estimate, considering that Lost World sold 700k and that was only on one system. The lowest selling game to this date is Rise of Lyric/Shattered Crystal, which sold 600k combined. A highly optimistic number would be closer to Generations 1.85 million copies. The actual numbers arent available for Forces (and probably wont be until the end of the year if anything). If Sega says it did strongly then by context I would say it did somewhere between Lost World and Generations. Hell it could have done better for all we know.
  13. I know some people were concerned that because of the mixed/average reviews Forces got compared to Mania's near critical acclaim would cause Sega to refocus the 3D component again and change things. If Sega says it preformed strongly (and lying about numbers is considered bad practice, especially in Japanese business) I would imagine not much would change. The 3D Sonic stages were some of the best parts of Forces, some minor tweaking and making levels longer, and they would be solid in that aspect. The main issue I had with Forces was the length of the game and it's story was inconsistent. They have a survey up they asked from players to say what they like and disliked. Direct feedback from fans will be key and applying the feedback will be good. They're on the right track in some aspects. I do feel confident going forward.
  14. Sega has confirmed that Sonic Forces has "preformed strongly" in their 3Q sales report https://twitter.com/SSF1991/status/9613475844712570 My guess would be that Forces did somewhere between 750k to 1 million sales. I think a good portion of that 14 million was Persona 5... even though it came out in April.
  15. David Benioff & D. B. Weiss, the guys who make HBO's Game of Thrones, have been tabbed to write and produce a new series of Star Wars Films. I'm actually really interested in what they will do. They've shown to be really good with source material except for the Sand Snakes, we dont talk about that and know how to deliver a good product. Course I expect it to be toned down compared to GoT but it's still fascinating.
  16. The story behind the making "Rumors" is fascinating. Mick Fleetwood has basically said half the songs on the album were the band dissing each other and airing their dirty laundry
  17. So looking over some of GTA Online's recent updates, I cant help but feel like some of these updates were meant for single player, especially the Doomsday Heist. Considering that Online is set before GTA V proper, it's odd that the events that happen aren't talked about as much in the main game.
  18. Counter-Strike co-creator Jess Cliffe was arrested Thursday and booked on suspicion of sexual exploitation of a child.
  19. EA blames the Loot Box Controversy for missing Battlefront II's sales projections
  20. The things I have learned working at Coca-Cola.

    1. There's more than 1 flavor of Fanta. There's 5. They all have more sugar than Coca-Cola Classic.

    2. Combining Seltzer Water, Ginger Ale, and the one Club Soda flavor, there's 13 flavors of Canada Dry. I lied there' 15 (2 new ones coming soon)

    3. If the guy working at the machine on the previous shift says it's running fine, you have 30 minutes until it breaks down for some odd reason.

    4. Moxie uses the Julian Code on the cans/bottles. Why? I don't know. And yes Moxie still exists.

5.Do NOT drink the Dasani off of the line.

I think Moxie is a niche thing around here. It's available in New England and Pennsylvania

They have Moxie out here in Spokane too, but you have to look for it.
