  1. Okay... I’ve seen many anime ranging from inuyasha, outlaw star, full metal alchemist: brotherhood, cowboy bebop, Lupin the third, gundam, Gurren Lagan, one punch man, and my hero academia, to just name quite a few and have been amongst the nerd social caste analyzing these anime series. One of these series I wish to bring up for discussion is a recent favorite of mine and previously listed My Hero Academia. It’s set in a world where 80% of the world's population have abilities and mutations called quirks ranging from super strength, super speed, pyrokinesis, electrokineses, gravity manipulation, etc. With this setting there are super heroes and super villains. But whereas in most classic comics, vigilantes like superheroes most operate outside the law but because of how prevalent these powers are in that world, superheroes operate both in private and public organizations but are still bound by some degree of regulation as there are superhero schools like UA, the superhero school where most of the anime takes place, are where future heroes can receive their certification. UA is one of the top schools for superheroes and producing one of the most famous of Heroes in the world named All Might, whom is to best describe him as a Superman and captain America all rolled into one hero. Because of All Might’s fame and Heroics, it urged the protagonist, Izuku Midoriya to one day become a hero like him as well as be a super fan of superheroes analyzing every hero’s quirk, fighting style and their weaknesses. However, he was born like 20% of the world’s population whom are without a quirk. This being regardless of his mother having some pyscokinesis abilities and his father being able to breath fire. Due to being quirkless it had led izuku to be taunted and bullied by his childhood friends and classmates such as Katsuki Bakugo, whom is able to generate explosions from his hands. One day, Izuku ends up saving katsuki from a slime monster villain that All Might was fighting against. Which prompted All Might to reward izuku with the knowledge of his identity, abilities and being the inheritor of his quirk called “All for One,” the source of All Might’s power. Which then All Might helps train Izuku to not only use “one for all” but also helps him get into UA as he’s also an instructor there as he’s no longer able to do as much hero work and being in the public eye as much as he used to. Edit: a poster of the heroes and future heroes.
  2. Oh great While eggman is away, metal sonic will play. And where’s orbot and cubot in all this I wonder?
  3. I share that worry but I have fallen out of the comics for some time but I’ll read some issues online if I can.
  4. Like mike I grew up on the beast era of transformers. But I also saw the unicron trilogy of anime transformers, transformers animated and transformers prime. However, I fell out of the transformers series after Transformers Prime’s successor Robot’s in Disguise. I heard that a new series transformers cyberverse is making its debut in 2019. I really do enjoy the series mainly prime and animated are more my major favorites. Though I do like the beast era. Along with the cybertron series of videogames that set the beginnings of the entire conflict of the Autobots and Decepticons.
  5. Yeah but I wonder how it will work because robotnik is still egg shaped and Jim Carrey is still fairly a skinny guy and most of his previous roles has him as a skinny guy.

  7. Well I did like the original idea of sonic and tails’ parents/family of being roboticized as it gave a more emotional to those who were roboticized. The wolf pack in not opinion would I think a good number would go down fighting so the rest could flee and hide after Robotnik took over. Im trying to remember how other original freedom fighters were like and how they would fit. As my memory of the Archie comics is beginning to fade and I’d have to dig the old encyclopedia out under hundreds of other books.
  8. https://youtu.be/2qi41rHz4ps https://youtu.be/zlTTz_INxMg https://youtu.be/VouMgb-bbLc The 1980s -1990s saw the genesis of narrative driven cartoon franchises from the transformers, he-man, TMNT, and of course what is of topic here the Thundercats. Now thundercats was series of humanoid cat aliens led by Lion-O that fled their home world and end up on third earth where they fight for survival and against the main antagonist, Mum-Ra. In a documentary of the thundercats’ production, you would see the time, effort and collaboration made on this series when it came to art and story. Such work often inspired great narrative driven television programs like the unique series of Gargoyles, or of Avatar: the last airbender along with cartoons that had a large following outside television like Batman: The Animated series, 1990s Spider-Man and even sonic the hedgehog’s satam series. These shows treated their child audiences with a great deal of respect and not in a condescending manner. A lot of narrative driven cartoons, and some of the more episodic type of wacky cartoons ran alongside each other on network Television at a balance. The original Thundercats lasted from 1985-1989 and would be on reruns within the 90s and 2000s. Then in 2011 thundercats was reborn for a new generation of audiences. Though it had a more anime-esque design like Avatar: The last Airbender, it did its best to maintain its kinship to the original. But unlike the original it wouldn’t last as long. Throughout 2011-2012 and years prior, Cartoon Network and other studios would invest in more colorful, wackier, and episodic cartoons and less in narrative driven. Shows like Adventure Time, amazing world of Gumball, Steven universe, and many others (like TTGo) along with DC and LEGO cartoon blocks of cartoons especially a generic derivative called Legends of chima. With all these cartoons vying for a spot on tv. The new Thundercats was thrown to a dead end slot and what’s worse it didn’t make enough money in merchandise. By 2012, the series was canned. Now the reboot for thundercats set for 2019 rather than being like the two shows before it now follow the same trend. That being the marshmallow androgynous body designs of Steven Universe, the wacky color pallets of Adventure time and of course the self parodying and condescending humor of Teen Titans Go to add insult to injury. This seems to be a disappointing trend.
  9. Then again Spider-Man is stigmatized in comic by the local New York City newspaper “the Daily Bugle” by the editor, J. Jonah Jameson (and yet he is making money for his Spider-Man articles being printed). As for the Hulk he’s hunted by General Ross because Hulk is dangerous and he also seeks to use the gamma radiation research that created him as a weapon for the US military to use. Yes I do see how the chaotic elements of x-men clash with the other marvel heroes. I think the reason why the other marvel characters clash with x-men in mythos is because of the comics reflected the attitudes of the times they were created. For example, Captain America initially created during WWII in marvel’s infancy, Iron Man during the Vietnam conflict, Hulk and the fantastic four to emphasize the advancements in scientific achievements such as understanding space exploration, and understanding atomic energy along with the formation and understanding of genetics. As for the X-men, they came about on the back drop of the civil rights movement. I don’t know how to splice the x-men with the other marvel heroes tbh. Unless there is something missing...
  10. Now that I think about it, Shadow will be difficult as the need to adjust him to that universe would be needed. Though I think other Sega characters like Mighty, Ray, Tikal, Chaos, could be in the SatAM universe.
  11. this is a drawing I made on valentines that I'm proud of though it's poorly drawn.
  12. Robotnik look so ridiculous.
  13. my first drawing is a prehistoric fish, or better known as an dunkleosteus.
  14. I think this would be playing. https://youtu.be/PHDycUXzNs0
  15. I apologize for not replying back mostly because I had personal things to attend. For naugus after doing some thinking, I think he would need his motivation for taking over mobotropolis flushed out to some greater degree. Understandably he worked with robotnik to take over but was betrayed. However, the episodes don't necessarily flush out his motives. In the old comics it was for his hunger for magical power along with taking over the order of ixis in Mogul's stead as he had no interest in taking over the world any longer. As for the new series he sought to take over the kingdom of acorn as it was once land that was controlled by his kind thousands of year ago by the troll civilization that worshiped the god Ixis. (Constants and variables). Which again motivation needs to be flushed out more than the "I'm an evil wizard" cliche.
  16. I agree that mobile games aren't made equally. The mania is a console game, computer or at least a ds port if they make one.
  17. Chapter 1 arrival. Though it was spring the night was cold out on the sea. A mist had shrouded the horizon through the night. At least that was what the young squirrel prince saw through not only the porthole of his well furnished cabin fit for any guest on an old battleship that came to visit but also up on deck where he came out to stretch his legs. There were many thoughts in his mind.
  18. *looks through the list* good selection but why "not really, no" on season 3 episode 6?
  19. Actually I think she needs someone with two empty halves of coconuts and bang them together.
  20. Well it's official, the series Star Wars Rebels has ended though it wrapped a lot of threads from its beginning along with its predecessor The Clone Wars, however I do wish to go into detail of the series and it's finale. i wish to also inform that a new Star Wars animated series is in the making called Star Wars Resistance, likely taking place in the sequel trilogy.
