  1. I agree whole heartedly, same goes for fans of any franchise who choose to conduct themselves with such toxic attitudes.
  2. Oh my, i'd tread lightly with that one if I were you, that games overzealous fans make overzealous Steven universe fans look sane.
  3. Alright, might as well go first then. When you stated that storm and vanilla were bland and one note, I initially agreed until it hit me like a sack of bricks how good and utterly tragic vanilla COULD be in SatAM, especially when you examine what is known about her as a character. She's a single mother who coddles her daughter, now add that to the SatAM setting, why would she still act like that? To preserve her daughters innocence in a harsh and unforgiving world, mainly as she's the last thing that truly gives her a reason to keep going. Now add to that her husbands probably dead/roboticized and the world she once knew is nothing more than the memories of days gone by, and her actions are now that of someone broken and stuck desperately clinging onto whatever sense of normality they can attain. On another note, I like X93's idea of a 4-parter, however I'd save it for an epic series finale rather than an opener. That being said I still like the idea of having some focus brought back to those key events, like the fall, bunnies partial robotization, who found tails and where, and the freedom fighters finally delivering the first blow to Robotnik's empire that sets the tone for the series.
  4. Well the first thing would be not forsaking everything the characters already have established for a single iteration (such as making 06 the be all end all for the characters), exploring their world's (or if it's based in a particular continuity, blazes peninsula and silver's future) and using them to their full potential is what always impresses me, and then if someone can organically link them (such as silver's reason for going back in time, and blazes reason for opening up and subsequently trusting silver) then I can dig it.
  5. Depends, doing it just cause 06 and the adventure effect is my main gripe, but I am a little more biased towards no unless it can really wow me.
  6. Well here's another gripe that bugs the heck outta me; the incessant need to pair blaze up with silver in most stories. Not only is it nonsensical from a storytelling standpoint (just one of many reasons why 06 is not very good), but it's a disservice towards both as characters. Silver can and has been shown to be capable of holding a story on his own, while blaze has her entire world/universe left to explore. By forcefully putting them together, either blazes world gets forsaken for silvers bad future as she's demoted to sidekick, or silvers bad future and motivations get put in limbo as he just all of the sudden exists at blazes side with no explanation as to why.
  7. The first thing that I would change would maybe start by making the over-world system more akin to that of Legend of Dragoon, where the majority of encounters are random. expand upon locations like green hill, central city, and the likes by making them more lively. now the story was fine, four discs is fine, not much to say here other than making it a psp exclusive for internal memory/memory cards so that the sequel can continue from the prequel. and maybe making it more of a SatAM affair like authar said, or more of an Archie one if they were able to attain the rights, not ditching all the sega cast (some but not all) while supplementing it with the strengthened worlds these continuities presented. I'd do much of the same as what Traveller said when it comes to chracters, barring the removal of Amy (as I would make her an optional addition like cream whilst having Gemerl take her place in the story) and changes to Shade's heel turn (you should have the right to pull a lol-no moment here just to be especially cruel for fun). lastly make the music polished and legitimate remixes, no baby's first midi playing through a potato.
  8. http://www.galaxytrail.com/forum/index.php/topic,1018.0.html Kinda sad to hear about the possibility that spade and torque's stories may have to go the route halo 3: odst (hopefully not torque's though, he was at least semi finished and not as radically different then spade story-wise).
  9. Yeah, it's probably the easiest to do. A shame they couldn't go for remakes of the older ones though. I liked oblivion, but it's gameplay is definitely inferior to skyrim.
  10. Sorry about being super unavailable, work has been brutal as of late and late post secondary registration has chewed up what little time extra I've had, but I should hopefully be available sometime around the 18th.
  11. It should have been morrowind or oblivion, skyrim is still good now.
  12. Honestly I think it's just companies refusing to learn how to adapt and listen to new ideas.
  13. For #1, there really isn't much I feel could have been done too differently. The episode introduced the characters well enough, and gave enough background as to allow us, the viewers, to learn enough about the world to be invested, without drowning in a sea of expository nonsense. As for #2, I liked how sea3on introduced knuckles, and would be 100% down with seeing some of the other characters the series has produced introduced into SatAM so long as it can be done organically. To me this means reworking the backstory's and motivations to fit within the world of SatAM, without making them steal the spotlight away from what has already been established prior. Now for #3 & #4, I really can't think of anything that wouldn't damage what was already established, I thought it was fine. Lastly for #5, yes. As either a two part special which is actually one of the characters recounting the final victory that secured the future or for additional mind tricks a single episode which reaveals that the ENTIRE series is revealed to be this, before following that character as they go about a free mobius reminicing about the past.
  14. The cringe is strong with this one... Thanks! Honestly it was a toss-up between trying to fit them into some form of middle age-esque Arthurian role, or just saying "screw it, I'll just draw them all as knights!" Yes, yes it is. because edge.
  15. well its finally done, the last concept sketch in which I feel I can actually do something unique with. so without further adieu; ow-the-edge: and thus I present the first (and only as of this post) of the many (literally I have been to busy to do another) black knight/arthurian/IplayedWAAAAYtomuchLegendofDragoon,FFCC:EoT,andskyrim-esque sketches. seemed only fitting I start this series off with the same character as last time.
  16. Me and my brother were actually discussing how ROM's, ROM-Hacks, and emulation wouldn't have to exist in a state of dubious legality if publishers like sega spent the time and resources to either: A. sell an officially supported emulator for cheap/free and treat the games as a form of DLC by charging customers for each individual game, splitting the income with the developers and allowing people to actually own a digital copy of a game no longer available to the general public (sorta like steam, but for retro games instead as well as lacking the cluttered problems of early access and greenlight). or B. create a streaming service in the vanity of netflix by having a monthly subscription that allows free access to the entire consoles library, including titles that never saw releases outside specified regions due to varying reasons.
  17. That was more or less because it seemed as though the more I looked into it the more I was seeing people state the estate was located somewhere in the southern baronies.
  18. Exhausted at work, thank goodness for upcoming busy long weekends.

Ahh, it's not that bad.  At least you're doing something physical...you could be stuck in an office in front of a screen all day.

sadly being generally disliked by my boss because I wasn't whom he wanted to hire initially makes everything that much harder.

Hmm...maybe you will eventually grow on him whether he likes it or not.

  19. I've got one: how were cream, the chao, and her mother able to avoid capture from robotnik, and why is it they appear to lack the same hostility toward the kingdom typical of most southerners?

  21. awww dang it, and I was ready to make a sherlotta is a cat joke too. ... well I'm stumped, I only ever listened to final boss themes and city escape on loop.
  22. that might just be a window/pc issue, I've had it happen before for a variety of different things offline. best thing to do is close the browser or restart the computer and try again, if its still happening then I'm completely wrong and can't really help.
  23. I think the argument being raised on both sides is that rosemary was not adept at wartime politics, she snubbed the FF from a civilian standpoint rather than military one while also possibly being compromised on a personal level. Alongside an inexperienced council who were either incompetent or pursuing their own agendas, a lack of cohesion between the council members, and a system which was shown to have failed when the worst came to pass, rosemary was a villain purely in the sense that she actually hindered and outright de-stabilized the kingdom of acorn by instigating a new unstable method of governance during one of the longest drawn conflicts in its history. Whether or not it was intentional is where the more interesting ideas come from.
