  1. There was a loud braying winny up the hill. Birds scattered in the air from the grarled skeletal trees around her. She looked up to find a huge winged beast, with feathers and gleaming ember-colored eyes soaring down at her. It's beak was like a pronged spear. [AC check - White or Black?] [VHS and WT roll 1d20 and factor in initiative. Let the battle begin!]
  2. As Mujha slipped into sleep there a comfortable draft of silence. The winds and flutter of the flames were her lullaby, to her such was one familiar song, even in this foreign land. She could almost imagine the soft pelting of snow on her cheek, and the Celsitial Aura, in all it majestic colors, dancing in a frosty sky once more, full of the spirits of her beloved ancestors (or so she was told by her mother). She imagined playing as a child in the autumn's first-snow, freezing a pond with the mere power of her breath for the first time. She gestured in triumph to her father and hugged him as he was able to cross the shallow stream with the ice even cracking. "I'm so proud of you!" The male Dragonborne's strong voice echoed softly in her head, bouncing off unseen mountains and pines, a cold world long forgotten. "I know now why the chieftain named you A..." A bloodcurdling screech pierced Mujha's ears, assaulting her nocturnal fancies, pwrverting them to a paroxysm nightmares. Horrible flashes of seering fire, growls and gasps, the scent of burn flesh, and the whooshing of arrows, invaded her mind. She jolted up from her slumber. [Make a wisdom check]
  3. It will stand, with dust or not, Dryus. I will never sweep a civil man under a rug here. I am not one for deleting a thread where one expressed his thoughts and feelings on a matter in a way that had no malicious intention and rather had intent to generate edifying dialogue. I am not one for censorship, even to the point of bitterness from those would indeed desire to silence a disparity of opinion. Fresh opinions keep the world moving. I also expect others to be civil about your thoughts and invite them to dialogue constructively if they agree or disagree with you either way. [I would however think about renaming it to the "The Soul Series." Less vague - might more people to notice.] --- I have not played the yet so sadly I can't give a fair opinion in response ( @Nagol has though I believe and so has @Wulfsbane) All I know so far is that music is killer for mood music when you Dungeon Master. [Speaking of which - Mike tells me you want to Rp sometime. Feel free to register for a RP or just pop up into the Minarchy Thread anytime you desire. It's real fun there - Minarchy basically means you can post almost anything at anytime RP-wise.]
  4. To clarify: I mean it's a "bummer" because that means the show was never good enough to deserve any made for TV movies of that series (which I assumed had a couple). I am very "unbummered" by our lay out I assure you. At ease, Commander - you're working to hard. -- I saw some of the art in Dragons of Autumn Twilight...Its a bit cringeworthy. The 3D usage for the Draconians for example was blatant corner cutting. There is also a bit of... adolescent... camera focus on...some female anatomy.
  5. I thought you might but some people get worried if there are even more rules beyond that, which in most cases there are not. That should be interesting. You should look into sound-effects that could accompany that.
  6. Gifs are art. We accept art. As long as its not something uber groddy and very NSFW; we accept it. This above is completely fine. Will this be in black and white or is this specific to the character?
  7. Ah, so no "made for TV" movies... Bummer. They did however make a version of Dragons of Autumn Twilight as a movie. I heard it was a bummer. Again, disappointing - it's a fun book.
  8. Oh we gotta add Odd and Retroware into this...Gotta be able to talk about thing like the famous SID chip and the weird peripherals too through out the years.
  9. Well you be keeping to the darker themes of Earthbound, or will you be going for a different tone? Can we expect Eldricht horrors?
  10. Peter Morwiec and John Duggan...hm... I think I can do some snooping then. I will see what we can do.
  11. Ah! You are planning to voice act? I hope to see some practice demos in the voice acting Booth!
  12. I would recommend RPG Maker; I have heard its much easier. In my dabbling experience I can occur (and found it more versatile for what you are looking for) You can also get it on Steam Sell this Christmas or even early this fall - so save up and start learning some basic programming and tutorials. All the while you can look for more help on the site as more and more of the gaming community come (we just opened this section up after all. ;)) I can give advice on story, graphics, and character design - all you gotta do is ask when things seem tough. I am a DM as well - I know a lot about mechanics and pitfalls you might end up with when it comes to the crunch of a game as well as the fluff. You might want to take a whack at that (and see some future resources we will be coming up with so you can get a sense of how game mechanics impact narrative and the flow of a game.
  13. When I get my studio set up I would love to discuss more possible ideas for Charity work in which we could collaborate.
  14. "A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."

Be good at more than just one thing. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. ;)

I think this guy wrote Star-ship Troopers actually.

I think I can do only  about 7 of those things in his list.

      I'm doomed.

  15. [Mood music] *Antoine is standing in a corner, shaking, gripping his face.* Sally: "Antoine? Come on Antoine...get out of the corner." Antoine: "THE CURSE! THE DOOOMED CUUUURRRRSEEEE!" Sonic: "Cut it out, Ant'. You heard Lupe - that wuza bluff...Stop bein' a..." *Sally puts a hand on his shoulder...slowly, Antoine turns around to face them.* *Cue horror music sting as both Sonic and Sally gasp.*
  16. I agree 100% that Satam offers more solutions to Orwell's well addressed problems. We need more optimism than "imaging a boot stomping on the face of humanity forever." I think it's because of Satam's American-ness personally. Orwell was drenched in the deceitfully warm wave then cold, wretched backwash of European socialism during his time as a revolutionary. He saw where his worldview led him and the Russians ultimately under Stalin and could not see the light for the end of the tunnel. Satam has the American hueristics of Freedom (despite there being a Monarchy) while being one of the first post-modern cartoons. Satam was developed in an amazing social and historical moment, the first few years after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the old guard of Communism (and years before the reactions to 911 slightly frayed this optimism). Ben Hurst himself mused in an interview that someone wrote him a paper about Satam: 'being a metaphor for America's fight for freedom.' It definitely embraces the mileu of classical-liberalism (now a days ironically called modern conservatism) whilst Orwell struggled in a darker moment and proximity to the social unrest auch authoritarianism he criticized caused.
  17. Is Mech-madness the one where Sonic is Roboticized? There is review protential there. So far all our reviews are post reboot. What's cool about 173-177?
  18. This stuff works better than pepper-spray. XP I hear good things about Spark of Life from people; but I am careful right now and wish to focus on Satam so EoT does not become tinged with anything else for the first season.
  19. Well some of its good, you know. XP I just think you did not survive the Titan-Tailsocalypse. BEHOLD!!!
  20. A civil way to put it. Love to hear your thoughts as well in your own review perhaps? We talked about formatting the other day, remember. It would give you a chance to work on just that. --- Could you give some specific details in which you agree with Nemesis?
  21. Something tell me you will fit just fine here - Mobius Obscura is the section we try to find all the rare Sonic stuff. Enjoy!
  22. Dude...I'm an Admin and I haven't read all the comics - there's a ton of 'em. It got a Genius World Record for it. This group focuses on all the aspects of Sonic - even the weird obscure stuff like the Tiger-games. Great to have you! I find that name for your Com-Channel funny. We actually have a a place for such material here.
