  1. One I got in Metal Gear Solid V today; thought it was funny.
  2. It's appreciated; All the German I know is self-taught; I mostly know German from music from that country: Karussell, PUHDYS, Joachim Witt, Nena, City, Wolfsheim, Oomph!, Stahlhammer, etc.... I know a lot of the words, but I use the syntax/word order of North American English, so it probably sounds horrid.
  3. Einige. Ihn meistens, abholend hier und dort. Deutsche Musik meistens.
  4. Other than reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid with my son, I've been reading a lot of fan works and of course Philip K Dick's work.
  5. Oh yessss..... oi; not a lot of fond memories about the little abominations. I got a gold one once; I sent it to my Dreamcast's VMU to train it. It was kind of like a Tamigochi or Gigapet; the battery that ran the VMU didn't last long, so I wasn't able to do much with it. Mostly wot I did was I liked to play ping-pong with them by letting Tails bat them around the garden with his tail whip and watch them throw a fit.
  6. I haven't done one of these in a couple of months or thereabouts, so I'm doing another one. The one that I'm writing about today is the 1982 classic The Last Unicorn; I remember this one quite well growing up. It was based on the book written by Peter S. Beagle and was directed by Arthur Rankin Jr. The Last Unicorn is one that many still remember due to its cult classic status mostly because it bucked the idea that animation is for kids only. Its deep and rich story that is not afraid to go to dark areas is told quite well with the aid of great top-notch artwork from Studio Topcraft; much of the top talent of that studio would later go on to become Studio Ghibli and others would join renowned studios. Because of the fact that it had Japanese animation and American production it has a unique style to it that you do not really see in other films; it really got the best of both worlds. Besides the superb writing and animation the voice acting was star-studded; featuring Christopher Lee again cast as the villain, Mia Farrow, Jeff Bridges, Angela Lansbury, Alan Arkin, and Rene Auberjonois amongst other talent. Whilst many critics and other individuals still insist on calling it a children's show; it is known for some swearing as well as a bare-breasted harpy and (I'm not making this up), a bare breasted tree who who gets real friendly with Schmendrick the Wizard. The soundtrack even is pretty good and was released in album format, which featured the band America, (most would remember them for their song "A Horse with No Name among other hits.) All in all, this film is well worth a viewing to anyone who loves a good adventure story; check it out when you can!

  10. A friend sent this to me and I thought I'd share. A South Korean Shoe/Toy ad using Sonic, Sally, and SatAM.
  11. In the real world one thing that is mistaken about squirrels along with many other rodents is that they are omnivores, not herbivores; they eat meat as well. These are mostly things smaller than them that they prey on, but they're know to attack and kill and eat snakes especially if their young are threatened; you can see many videos on YouTube showing this behaviour. Also they've been seen practicing cannibalism in extreme circumstances of famine. Anyway, in SatAM we actually only see two squirrels on the show: Sally and her father. There is also another one that is a side-character Freedom Fighter that to my knowledge was never used. So, at least in SatAM there really isn't anything to support the ascertain that Squirrels dominate other species other than the fact the king rules Mobitropolis. Now, if I'm wanting to entertain the idea that they actually are dominars of the Mobian race; I would see a few points concerning squirrels that could support it: 1. They are omnivores, which means that they would have a more varied and have a diet less dependent on one or a handful of sources. 2. Squirrels are fierce fighters and can hold their own against larger and deadly animals like rattle snakes. 3. They are actually quite intelligent compared to most "pet" animals and are shown to be adept problem solvers, and 4. They are good at gathering and storing perishable goods (which would probably be one of the main points); in times of famine those with food are kings.
  12. Big update coming for PS4 Pro users. http://blog.us.playstation.com/2017/02/03/ps4-system-software-update-4-50-features-detailed/ http://www.theverge.com/2017/2/3/14502366/playstation-4-pro-boost-mode-update

  16. You guys remember: I called it well over a year ago. Issue 100 for Universe and 300 for the main comic would be it. I point my finger straight at the I.P. owner for this one; they meddled and micromanaged the comic into oblivion. Nobody wants to read about the crappy games which had about as much substance narrative wise as an air sandwich and were so childish that even my 10 year old found them too kiddie. If they would've only learned that Sonic only became popular through the team at SoA and not their fruitless micromanaging. People have been playing games like Sonic Unleashed; we already know wot happens; don't make our one good thing become nothing more that a vehicle for advertising decades old games and Mario/Sonic Olympics. I feel bad for the people at Archie who will lose their jobs when it should be the brass at the top of the I.P. owner's company that should. The micromanaging all started back at about issue 75 and they've been tightening the noose around the comic ever since with culmination of the 252 reboot. People want deep stories, not to see their favourite comic become a bad advertisement and their favourite characters become gutted. I've been saying it before and I will still say it again; there are many great writers and artists out there that blow all the "official" stuff to shame. I say put it down like a sickly animal and focus on the real Sonic; us fans and our work; to me this is great news, hopefully more people will read the fan works and they'll become more people's "mind cannon." I pray that the I.P. owner is next to go the way of the dodo. *edit* And even if the I.P. owner goes to another publisher, 5-6k issues sold per month is terrible and unless they quit micromanaging them I don't see sales improving; new writers or not.
  17. This is getting even better, I love the pacing; it reads a lot like a SatAM episode.
  18. Found a Jungle and a Tundra biome; first ones I've yet to find. I don't know how many more I have to go to discover them all, but getting closer to finding them all.
  19. Agreed, but Kojima is at least one that will push the cutting edge of video games and expand its boundaries, which, like his work or not, in turn benefits the entire gaming industry; we need more visionaries like him. At least Sony knows this and basically gave him a blank cheque; they know he'll make their money back.
  20. http://gamingbolt.com/death-stranding-it-seems-that-kojima-is-fultoning-everyone-from-konami-to-kojima-productions This is just getting better and better all the time; Konami is just a dried out husk of its former self; good riddance I say.
  21. Well, anyway, I'll try to get the ball rolling with a few questions 1: How would you expand upon Robotropolis as Robotnik's main HQ? You know, like his factories, roboticizers, prisons, etc. There's so much you could do there, a lot of it would be delving into Robotnik's psyche. He's got a big ego, i.e. he'd make his realm into his own image, or rather further so. You see, the only person who has an ego similar in size to Sonic is Robotnik and thus, other than the fact that Sonic is a Freedom Fighter and Robotnik is a despot, they constantly butt heads. 2: How do you think places like Angel Island and Dragon's Keep would remain intact considering Robotnik's massive robotic army? As for the Floating Island, it's very hard to find by any means and Dulcy ran into it by accident; it seems to have an innate stealth ability, which would also work against Robotnik. Now, as for Dragon's Keep, we saw in Harmonic Sonic how Robotnik was launching a spy satellite and the FF were scared that he'd use it to find Knothole, so, they destroyed it. From this I can surmise that Robotnik's sensors are limited and only when his bots, spy orbs, swatbots and stealth bots, are present can he see things.
