    There's not a lot of Cartoons for an older audience (other than a few Anime, even then it's more so from the past than now) that I have any interest in. I mean the League of Legends Series, Arcane, I've heard a lot of good things about. But I'm not gonna renew my Netflix account for just one show. Of course then, there's the recent abomination of Claymation Santa Inc, which I've heard enough about to know that it's a hollow ploy in comedy from people so far out of touch with everyday reality, it makes me wonder how such stagnation comes forth. I suppose it's not as different as say, being a Hikkimori in Japan with Eastern Media, only in the scale as a Loud, Brash Extrovert. If that makes any sense. A lot of people nowadays look toward the East with Games, Anime, and Manga for entertainment to the point that series like Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia outsell Western Media that have been established for Decades to nearly a Century in some shape or form. I do worry about where Animation as a whole is going from here on out, but for me Western Animation is pretty much dead. Sorry to sound like a downer here, but I seriously can't think of anything that's still running or is upcoming to look forward to for now. And the Voice Actor for Stu, he passed some years ago as well.

    https://segabits.com/blog/2021/12/17/sega-announces-the-sega-astro-city-mini-v/ Succeeding the original release of the Sega Astro City Mini, this V Variant comes with a more Vertical screen. Why? Because of the reason I'm posting this on here rather than Retro Gaming Appreciation. The Majority of games on this Mini Arcade Console are 3rd Party Games, specifically Shmups! I'm talking classics like Zaxxon and Raiden, to games made by shooter legends 8ing/Raizing, Psikyo, and Toaplan. For the first time ever, you can legally buy an official re-release of Batrider and Bakraid with this Mini Arcade Console. Not to mention being able to get Tatsujin, it's sequel Tatsujin-Oh, V-V, and the precursor to the Dodonpachi games, Batsugun! Granted, you can get a bunch of Psikyo games on the Switch, PS4, and Steam, but knowing the quality Sega has put out with it's emulation on these Mini Consoles it'll most likely run a lot better for those input delay, detail oriented folks. Simply put, this is gonna be something for the most die hard of Arcade and Shmup Maniacs, and makes me wonder if we'll get other Mini Consoles and Variants in the future.:

    That's a good point, he is quite a bit too ditzy. Though I do wonder if that was because of his 10 year isolation, which would make sense. Heck, what I'm looking forward to is his interaction with Knuckles, considering what happened to Longclaw.

    Could have sworn there were a bit more regarding a Silver Lion I kept seeing. Gotta say, really like the beta for Kingdra. Pre-Evos for Goldeen and Paras are completely unnecessary. All the others I would like to see again some day. The Tigers and Wolves being cut should be a crime though. XP

    SNK DID IT, THEY BROUGHT BACK K9999! EXPECTATIONS SHATTERED! For clarification, this guy is not a new character (though story wise that could be a different tune). He's a character from the NESTS Saga that was originally based a little too much on Tetsuo from Akira. SNK, once they got the Series back, never alluded to the character again due to being too similar to the inspiration. Though I liked the character due to his over the top attitude (think Scourge from Archie Sonic, kinda...and Tetsuo.) He was replaced in the KOF 2002 remake with a character named Nameless, with all of K9999's moves. Albiet with different context, personality, and backstory. But now though? He's back with a new name! Can't wait to see how he fits into KOF.

    THE HYPE IS REAL, KNUCKLES LOOKS COOL AGAIN. I love what I'm seeing so far and going to the nearest theater when it comes out.

    It has begun! @Wulfsbane has been keeping up with the news on this, and Ian Flynn (best known for writing both Archie and IDW Sonic Comics) is the writer behind the game's story. Discuss, get hyped? Let us know what you think about this so far.

    Already watched it, does give some good amount of context in terms of why the game ended up as it did. But man I cannot stress how bad the writing of Forces is. Still have yet to play it, but would like to soon.

    So has anyone checked out the latest Generation in Pokemon? Heard good things overall, though I do miss the Mega Forms. @Wulfsbane Heard you got the Gen 4 Remakes, how have they been so far? Also, for anyone playing on totally legal means via PC, if you rename a save file for say Pokemon FireRed into LeafGreen, you keep your current progress and all version exclusive Pokemon you catch! So for those wanting to catch Pokemon from one version without using a Rom Hack, there you go! Can't believe I didn't think of this sooner. XP

    So, just wanted to ask everybody, what sort of retro games have you played lately? Had a good time playing Capcom's Alien vs. Predator with a @Sargent Beeler. some time ago a month back.

    I forget what it's called, but there's a mod for M&M8 that allows you to play through 6&7 plus use the same characters all in one save file.

    Okay, so with an apparent copyright claim with Sonic Frontier/Frontiers, it was long overdue that we made this topic. There's also a rumor going around that this game will be a Soft Reboot of the games. With all this in mind, what do you all think about this? Let us know if you are looking forward to the next entry in Sonic the Hedgehog.

    Recently I've partaken to Dreamcast emulation, and while on the current laptop can't run every Dreamcast games well due to slowdown, it can run a lot of the earlier, more 2D entries well like Marvel vs. Capcom 2. And since a version of Flycast and the latest Fightcade 2 has the ability to play such games online, if anyone wants to play such games together, let me know. On that note, will take until December till I can get a Laptop with better RAM thanks to @TheRedStranger, would love to play Power Stone 2 with 3 of my friends.

    Very interesting! I've heard that running them on modern OS can be a nightmare. Stranger just asked you to get them running on MacOS. XP https://www.retrorgb.com/atomiswave-dreamcast-arcade-ports.html Someone at the tail end of last year managed to port a few games onto the Dreamcast like Metal Slug 6 and Samurai Shodown 6, as the Atomiswave arcade board is based off of the Sega Naomi board (which is the basis for the Dreamcast).

    Seems to me that whenever we get a new entry in the Smash Bros Series, we could see Geno then. I know it's way too soon to speculate what a new Smash game could have, but still its fun to think about it. Besides, we do have Mods and Fan Games to fill the void, and new Platform Fighters like the Nick game that came out. In any case, you all looking forward to Metroid Dread?

    Really now? I lurked over his forums for years before it got closed down, don't ever remember seeing that. Doesn't sound like him either. ...but Bunnie's quote is what made that moment so hilarious! XD All jokes aside, it was just fun to see a Roboticized Sonic and Knuckles duking it out.

    So with all the new Indie FPS games that have been out, tell me something, do you have any favorites? Or which ones would you like to get? Cruelty Squad looks like an absurd mess visually, but gameplay wise looks really fun. Also, @TheRedStranger have you heard about the canceled 360 Remaster of Goldeneye?
