  1. I have a sneaking suspicion, after watching Deja Q, that Jim Parson, took influence from John Delancy's portrayal of Q, in his portrayl of Sheldon Cooper. I am not a fan of Big Bang Theory and its obnoxious 'nerd-face' but I could not help but make the connection, being academically interested in acting. Do you guys see it? It's very obvious in the turbolift scene in this aforementioned episode, compared with the BBT episode where Sheldon fails to drive.
  2. The very fact that they are owned 10% by one of China's puppet-corps is enough to ban them and burn the bridge. If a judge overturned anything it would be easily overridden by new executive order or judicial override. I don't trust the nation that enslaves whole ethnic groups with our children's data. Epic is one more moral lapse from having Fortnight be the new Fanta.
  3. @Sorzo’s money is on Archie Sonic. I might be biased obviously, but it seems that way too. Wally West is a favorite of mine DC wise, so it’s hard to see them fight. XP
  4. If people are willing to buy, they will be willing to sell this way more and more. Ultimately it’s are our responsibility as consumers to prevent bad marketing practices. As for me, I am not wasting my time to buy stuff I...well, already own.
  5. Yeah. It lacks blue hedgehogs. *Gets out the gasoline and torches.*
  6. In South Korea that basically sums up the plethora of bootleg products there. Sega just has not provided the supply, despite the demand.
  7. [Noticed Polkadi's old post on this - decided to merge]. https://sonicretro.org/2020/07/30/sonic-adventure-vinyls-coming-courtesy-of-limited-run-games/ For those audiophiles our there, looks like there is a new vinyl out there for Sonic Adventure! Anyways, here we can talk about any and all audio related Sonic products, old or new, digital or physical.
  8. Sins 4 did not even have pools and toddlers at the start. It literally was a step back to Sims One levels, but even Sims One has pools at the start. It’s much better now on sale. But still not worth the full price for all its content. Para-lives will actually have pets, holidays, and seasons from the get go. EA can choose to abort Sims like so many franchises like Sim City (which was replaced my City Skylines and City XL). Or , they can make Sims 5 a fuller out of the box experience. Basic Economics, a sustained monopoly (one seller) cannot exist in a polyopsony (many customers) unless centrally controlled by a sustained authoritarian force. Since EA does not have public power or influence to do that, they have choice but to compete with more flexible and patron-fueled indies in the beautiful ring of the free-market. This issue is further compounded by the fact the video game market is much more elastic than when EA was developed. EA is a relic from the 80’s and 90’s, when the net was slow and unavailable to the masses, the educated needed in computer science made the labor force narrow, and resources, knowledge, and know how to make games were all crowded in hard points like Silicon Valley. Back then, the market was very inelastic supply wise. It’s why publishers were needed. They produced, distributed, and facilitated the marketing for game designers. Now those designers can do those things for themselves! They don’t need big brother breathing down their neck to milk sales for their obsolete existence.
  9. It’s good to have you back in the site you big ol’ giggling snow dog. I can help you with your writing and play D&D at the same time here. That’s the great thing about post based RP.
  10. I love the visual comedy in the show. You can watch the show more than once and catch a new joke.
  11. That’s very sensible. It’s not pure “pantising” not pure outlining. Broad talking points are good for keeping an eye on the prize but giving flexibility. I typically get my hook, the possible few ends I want, and then flesh out the middle and character arcs. I think of where I want the characters to be at the end episode, then let things happen organically and even Occasionally defy my expectations. I know it sounds odd, but the characters take purchase in some part of you and find their own being in a sense. Soon they begin to do things seemingly autonomously, despite your goals and perspectives. That is the power of good character writing. If you need help editing your first episode, let me know. I am here for you and other here if needed.
  12. It would really bridge the gap between Archie and a novel. I would do a piece for it, if I can find the time. EoT keeps me busy.
  13. You hope to have this person do more illustrations of your work? If so, it would be great to have them on the site. You could do simple black and white for each chapter, if not as commission. That would be pretty interesting. It's solid work.
  14. Does Harvey Birdman count for this? [PG-13 content.]😝
  15. It’s mentioned in the video, dorkus. XP You think I would forget our first African-hedgehog president. That’d be racist. 🤣 Harry Potter Obama, and the Blue Hedeghog of the Red Roses sounds like a story written by a 12 year old that watched too much CNN and Steven Universe and never read a textbook in her life. Probably named something like Windstar. So basically everyone in suburban Portland. 🤣
  16. Going to bring back our newsletter we use to do - methinks.

  17. Every inch of stuff like this we find is good four our fandom. Thanks for relaying this along for others to enjoy!
  18. I will pass things along. In the meantime feel free to take a mental break. It’s good to refill the mind. Lot of other places on the site to do that at your leisure. Madlib section is pretty fun. The more stuff we all do together fun wise, the better bonds we make, and thus the more dedicated we shall be to each other’s endeavors such as yours.
  19. Don you a time line payed out for your ideas yet, and how you want to display them episodically? Or will this be more a novel or movie format?
  20. 😝 Did not date well that’s for sure! Movie beat Hey You Pikachu. *Burst out laughing.* Enough hating though. Give me your favorite rip off product. It’s these Sonic pickles isn’t it. Cause they’re sour and salty. XP
  21. Now, do we have any positives to pluck from that sea positives @WarTraveller ? Or are we training to join the masochism olympics? There is no rationality in seeking to be wounded by rusty needles in fertile haystacks. This is Fandom Highlights after all.
  22. I always thought of it as a social horror game, taking elements of weird things that are indeed on the internet. I think that core idea of a social or meta-fictional horror game could work, and make a good commentary, if played right. And, I am not offended at things so easily because I don’t have a poststructuralist (Which ironically hyper structuralist) communalist perception of my identity. If someone makes a slight at the fandom, it’s not a slight to my special snowflake, Twitter-drone identity. Ironically I would love a horror game that explores that, sort of like a mix between Papers Please and Welcome to The Game, but with a series of social media platforms that affects your fate as a content creator and fate of people around you. You have to both sell out a bit sometimes for patronage and profit, while dealing with offense and crazy interactions with creepy people online. The main problem with Sonic Dreams is that is indeed not really a game. It was designed, like many postmodern indie horror games - not to be played but seen played by Let’s Players. It has no exclusive offense in its content, it is in a line of flaccid mushroom-ware that really never gets full thought in development, all because of this pursuit of quick and dirty social media fame. They are not games as much as tools for performance art. The novelty of taking socially taboo and cringy fandom concepts and elevating these indie’s to some form of disturbia is a fresh idea, all with pinches of absurdist comedy. You cannot deny that in a world of cheap Slender knock offs and CreepyPastas like Sonic Exe, there really needs to be more novel chutzpah to our scary stories again, especially to our fandom’s scary stories. The tropes are more than tired. But seeing how Dream’s audience was more Youtubers making reactive content, you can feel an ephemeral whoriness to the thing. It’s ultimately a prop for improv comedy, and that is not exclusive as it’s the domain of several new social-reaction focused indie games, through out the 2010’s. How it’s seen by people is going to be determined by the Youtuber they watched it through. To me that makes it fundamentally hollow, despite grasping in the hard shell of a fertile ideal. I want to see someone make a real horror game tackling weirdness in fandoms.
