Here is where we celebrate (ironically) all sorts of cringy and zany bootleg Sonic merchandise. So post the weird, the whacky, and often downright offensive, if you please. (Nothing NSFW obviously).

That idea really misses the mark on what Rotor is suppose to be. Rotor is a foil to Sonic the way that Sally is. One is improvisational but brash thinker, the other is stiff but much more planned. They mentally balance each other out. Rotor is a foil to Sonic’s bravery and forward action. Rotor solves his problems through technology and is your rearguard, your support man. With that dynamic in mind - I could see Tails doing something cool-and-crazy with a suit like that in a one off (thought he really does not need it). But Rotor is more going to be your Oracle, your Jarvis in that situation. To me Tails is the mid point between Sonic and Rotor. Forward but not as flexible and slippery as Sonic. Rotor only comes to the forefront in times of complex technical problems. We should consider also the diversity of occupations in the sciences and how they apply to operational tactics. Think of this for the Freedom Fighters in the frame of an MOS in the military. If you want Rotor and Tails not to step on each other’s character as he grows up into a capable freedom fighter, then consider what path exactly he would take. Look up a list of MOSes and think about which ones for Rotor over Tails when it comes to the FF as a military operation.

A love letter to grandpa. It’s certainly a different take. My issue is that their is a idealogical barrier. Eggman seems to believe machines are superior hence his intense focus on them. He would fight biology with a mechanized or at least cybernetic being. If he made something like this he would want to “perfect” it with strapping a whole lot of metal, possibly full Roboticization of the organism. An intense Machine Supremacism essentially bars Eggman from such open minded tactics. This changes Eclipse motivation unless goes traitor at a later stage, which could make an interesting arc. Eclipse goal is to protect the earth, at least for the Eggman agenda. An interesting twist would be to put this character in the hands of the Ixis. Go full Starfinder and make an eldricht genome soldier magic death alien.

There is a lot of big concepts to dig into such a crossover. Personally I feel more obliged to help you get a very broad picture to provide you the most creative Freedom. 1) My first tentative advice is to consider making your own Sonicverse. Don’t fully relay on Archie canon to give you ultimate flexibility. Building in the Archie comic, which has various different writers and tones could hem you in creatively. Satam would be a much easier first step, but if you love Archie more write what you love. But, give yourself as much room as possible before you have 10K plus words and you find yourself nitpicking away plot ideas to stiff dedication to canon, especially with idea that could need flexibility. 2) I think we should consider the sub-textual and broad conflict elements first and foremost. Loss is a theme in this idea, to my knowledge the Transformers had a lot of people they were connected to prior on Earth. The destruction of the Earth the defended would be a great emotional shock. To Sonic’s friends and himself, there would have to be some tension with living machines. They have spent a great deal of their lives to prevent becoming just that. You have a golden opportunity to explore an arc with Sonic in particular. Sonic has been a machine killer, plain and simple. A prejudice against living machines (not an outright bigotry mind you, but a threateningess) could be explored. If you introduce the decepticons after he gets somewhat use to the autobots, then you can really extend that internal conflict in an exciting way. Trust and unity in a common goal against common enemies in not easy to achieve, and this will give Sally a lot of power to move the plot as a diplomat. The opposite theme of trusting and embracing the strange and new could also be explored. Tails and Rotor are probably going to have more naïveté and could be taken advantage of by the deceptions of the Decepticons. 3) We should consider how certain concepts from the different crossovers will have chemistry. For example Roboticization would be a grand tool for Decepticons. You basically turn organic life into recruits, perhaps use their transforming technology to turn them into new useful Decepticons. Darker concepts would be scrapping Robians for repair parts. And, they could take over Robians for a mob, or even manipulate freewill Robians into joining their cause out of manipulating their despondency and social rejection in Mobian society. 4) Write down the cliches and things you feel suck about crossover ideas once executed. That way we have a clear vision of how to avoid these. One cliche I see is the just-because villain team up. It would actually be more Interesting perhaps to see the dead lock between Robotnik and the FF disturbed by the oncoming third And fourth element into the war. Guys like Megatron and Robotnik don’t get along. But Snively...oh he would see an opportunity to prove himself. And could defect to further his power.

The best way to start is just like this, Prime. And just by doing it, you are making a braver step than most. The best way to find you creative voice is through constructive critique, emulation, and practice. For example, Steven King threw his first novel in the trash. His wife Tabitha plucked it out, wiped the cigarette ash off it, and plopped it back on the table. With a few sentences of advice, she helped him finish it. Now he's a very successful writer. It just takes one good push to spark a creative fire into motion. But many don't take the risk such vulnerability with their dreams. I like the idea of a blood-pact that compels people. You could make one of the FF descendants and feel the pull. It would create massive conflict in the organization due to this heros connection to Knothole. Tons of information could be stolen and used to unveil the forest city. It would be interesting to essentially elevate the simplicity of the witchcart lore in the game, which was obviously appealing to younger audiences, into a Grim fairy tale in-universe, about which there is much more nuance to discover. Perhaps “Wendy” is just that to Mobians today, and we unveil her more nuanced backstory through the plot. In the story she is just a slaver that forces wayward youths to mine in dungeons for wealth to appease her greed. But it reality it’s much bigger than that. I like the idea of her being like Broomhilda from Banjo And Kazooie. She wants to steal beauty and wholeness. Take it deeper, she wants to restore her full constitution and powers she had from the apex of her life, at any cost. Perhaps she a beautiful Cleopatra style leading-woman once (or an Empress Irene), like Matron Malice in the Drizzt novels. Her whole life has been intrigue, and in her culture assassination and rebellion are a part of life. Just like a Klingon first officer’s paramount duty is to challange his captain to a fight to the death when proven flaccid with age and time, so is it in her culture to crush weak arcanist in her Magocracy. Instead of a game of brute force, it’s a Cold War of scheming and scrying, of potions and subtle manipulations of magic. I like the idea of the Ixis being dedicated wholly to furthering of powerful magic as a good in itself, to which there is little concern for morality and value in life. Wendy is vain and attached to herself, and others who are more puritanical in her order see her as unwilling to die so a more powerful witch can take her place, and further magic. She dishonors the order, much like a Klingon surviving to old age and not dying in battle would his culture. It’s the height of life to die at your apex as a challenge to be surmounted by your rising compatriots. In this case though, it’s not out of honorable battle but backstabbing. She knows she is weakened and her first instinct is to regain her glory not out of just mere vanity, but defense. Even in this modern day, there is someone that will be her Macleod to her Kurgan. There can only be one.

Really like the redo Movie-Sonic shirt. It’s my favorite version of him so far. Much to the chagrin of purists. I have always drawn Sonic in western style after all. After all, two eyes are better than one. 😝

Werewolf of Fever Swamp has a fun ending. I like the illustrated edition of it. Some got outright dark. There is one where a kid races his little sister from existence, which is probably the most evil thing you could ever imagine. You are not just taking someone’s future away, but their very existence as a fourth and fifth dimensional whole. Poof. Ultimate Annihilation. But Stine just casually mentions it as a twist. Talk about ‘fridge horror...’

Yes. I don’t think they support gradients anymore which is a bummer. So I change it will be flat color. Try the Bright theme some time and see how you like it.

Yeah that sign in button is pretty faint. The New Darker Theme I made is more visible. I am going to see what I can do with this version. Perhaps you can help me with making the home icon bigger. I am not sure why it shrunk. Been checking IPS. Had to balance working on the site the other day while also writing a letter to my local government for a hearing about solar panels (with a lot of questionable pork) while juggling college reopening., and work I have a lot more free time this weekend and will keep improving on the format.

Okay @Wulfsbane@MoKat@Mike Arcade - How is the new Darker Theme? Please test it out for me. I am having problems with getting the logo to size. I am also intrested in redesigning it now that I know how to use Illustrator.
