  1. Alrighty. Well I guess if I could go back in time, I'd pull a Biff Tannen and use my future knowledge to get MMM very rich. Invest in the early days of Twitter and Youtube, get some stuff that goes for a hell of a lot nowadays, that kinda thing.
  2. Sadly it's general supply and demand here, not fan demand and supply. Again, a lot of Sonic stuff is designed to be sold in physical stores (even though they're a hard find in the UK, and overpriced when they turn up) or carnival games, and so Sega keeps it as safe as possible because if they're TOO niche they'll rot in the stores as the general audience won't know who Sally or Antionie are. That's why Great Eastern got away with making so many obscure choices to everyone's joy; they sell exclusively though Amazon, so if they're a little niche it's no big deal.
  3. Soooooooooo it's my job now to revive some old threads and BOY HOWDY I got an idea for this one. So, on Reddit someone asked that, should there be a Sonic Mania 2 (...and there probably will be), what stages from previous games will be added? To me that's actually quite tricky, as they'd have to be fan favourites that didn't appear in M1. So, the runner-ups. So the first question would be; In a Sonic Mania 2, what returning stages have a solid chance of being featured? For me, it's Emerald Hill, maybe Marble, Wacky Workbench and Sky Sanctuary for sure. But really, if there IS another Mania, I don't want another "glory days" nostalgia trip. No, my idea is, if Mania 1 focuses on Classic stages and gameplay, then Mania 2 is the same for Dreamcast stages and gameplay. Twinkle Park, Metal Harbour, Rail Canyon, that kinda thing. So with THAT in mind; If Mania 2 focused on Dreamcast stages, what stages would return? What are the fan favourites?
  4. Make the stat boosts more accessible. An FAQ in the map would be neat, explaining how Fruit, Animals and Chaos Cores affect the Chao and what can happen to them. Animal looks can be toggled on or off for visual preference, Chaos Cores come with downsides to reflect their artificial nature. Make a form of Chaos Core like stat boosts that aren't as damaging but aren't as effective or fast to compensate. Therefore anyone breeding a Chaos Chao will always be tempted by the Cores and it becomes another challenge. The used character in the Garden has an affect on stat boosts instead of just morality. Sonic affects speed, Tails flying, Knuckles strength, and so on. Morality is still there, but its more easily controlled with certain items and rare Corrupted Cores. Animal Crossing style decorations for the Garden. Make the garden your OWN. More minigames outside of fighting or racing. What about puzzles, or flying?
  5. I'm going to be honest, I thought the Zombots were handled pretty well. It's Shadow that's the major problem. I guess if anything I'd add in that eventually a sort of group leader would form and the Zombots would follow them, as happens in nature. So they're not just mindless and the gig's not over the second Zavok shows his Diet Bowser face.
  6. They're PDFs, now? Sweet. Chalk one up for preservation of old media! I'mma be honest, I wanna see more Sonic stories like this. SEGA are clearly down for it was the Tales of books exist, and there are plenty of good writers of fanfics, why not allow some more of those to be written but officially?
  7. Well first of all it's 100% Shadow who does it. Rouge is a thief but she's got enough heart to avoid murder. Sonic and co angrily, and rightfully, attack Shadow for the action. Because Shadow shouldn't be a diet Vegeta like Boom and IDW forces him to be, he actually loses against Team Sonic, Amy, Silver, Tangle and Whisper. Ultimate Lifeform or not, he's outnumbered heavily. and no that bit where he takes on a million Mephiles clones at the end of his story in 06 doesn't count Rather than kill him too, Amy places him on trial for the murder of Eggman.Sonic posits that Eggman, as the Tinkerer, could have been rehabilitated, resulting in a powerful ally to mop up Metal's mess. To kill him would to be worse than him. Shadow doesn't care, considering him just another bad guy dead and defeated for good. Nothing too different to Black Doom or Gerald or Mephiles or FinalHazard...or Infinite, come to think of it. Appalled by his lack of real ethics, the team decides he needs to go. Too powerful to kill but too dangerous to keep around, they force Shadow into exile; he's booted from Team Dark (to be replaced with Traveller, because yeah I'm shoving OCs in there), and forced to roam the remains of the world while they deal with what's going on. While roaming the world with the words of his old friends ringing in his head, Shadow's mental state declines. He realises he went against what Maria would have wanted, even if it was for the greater good. Eventually his warped mind comes to the conclusion that Maria's words and ways rung hollow after all. Eggman is gone, and with it his threat to the world is extinguished. This is just better. He sets out to create his own band of vigilantes, determined on ending the evils of the world, by force if needed. It doesn't take him long to get his gang together, and they plan their next course of action off of the map... Without Eggman, the Zombot Arc simply doesn't happen. Metal Sonic Neo, dropping his Eggman disguise once Eggman's death is common knowledge, continues with his old plan of obtaining power and a fleet from the Master Emerald and destroying the Resistance that way. He picks up a distraught and revenge-seeking Starline along the way. While he tests the Zombot goo at first, he's smart enough to figure out how unstable the compound is and how easily they'll slip out of his control. THAT, and the Deadly Six exist and as long as they do, he's in enough danger already. Incinerating the goo to remove it from existence, he turns his armada, temporarily, against the Deadly Six. Zavok and his pals with their technopath abilities are simply too dangerous to keep alive. Besides...it's what Eggman would have wanted, for sure.
  8. HEATHEN Though in all serious, the limited time window for even buying the thing is madness. I can only assume that it's for bumping profits in the last quarter of 2020 - odd considering they've been noted as richest company in Japan for 2020 - and get a rush of sales in a short amount of time to claim it "sells well". There's a physical cartridge as well but that's even more limited and has "scapler-bait" written all over it. Very very poor, as it's a black spot on an otherwise pretty good showing.
  9. Well this was a HUGE surprise this morning. It does, however...well, it has some issues we could discuss.
  10. I'mma be honest, there ARE some bootlegs I feel corner markets that the official ones don't. I mean, I get WHY they're not made officially, they're often niche items that would end up as them there dreaded "Pegwarmers". I mean, look at some of the figures pumped out for Star Wars Extended Universe characters, some of which are of notice or even common knowledge to a chosen few. But, show me a plush based off of Hyper or Dark Super Sonic and that's already more interesting than another batch of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow and Amy.
  11. "As long as this, Deviantart, and Sonic 2006 exist, it will be very hard for the Sonic The Hedgehog movie to be the worst thing that ever happened to the franchise" I hate jokes like this.
  12. Sonic Dreams Collection is not a Sonic fan game. I hesitate to call it a game, strictly speaking. All of its content relies on old, outdated fandom stereotypes that do nothing but reinforce the prejudice against Sonic fans, and all for attention-seeking disguised as saying "clever" stuff about the fandom.
  13. It's different now, of course. I don't even remember if the last two Sonic games even GOT TV spots. I know Boom and Lost World did, but Forces and TSR? I'm not sure.
  14. I have risen from my Splatoon grave to say Happy 4th of July to all that celebrate it! I will be more active on here I promise.

    1. MoKat

      MoKat

      Thank you ^.^

  15. I'll tell you what it is, it's Nintendo-Brand arrogance. You know that. When Nintendo does some so very stupid and consumer-unfriendly and just expects everyone to march along in lockstep because "we nintendo we made mairo and kerb everyone loves us". That's Gamefreak's problem, too. So many games, so many good reviews, a dedicated fanbase, so much chaosdamm M O N E Y made via Pockymen, they think they can do whatever and people will love it. Not anymore, sunshine.
  16. Birthday boyeeee, that's me!

    1. MoKat

      MoKat

      Happy (belated) Birthday!

  17. I feel if they explained themselves a bit more honestly when this whole thing kicked off, people wouldn't have been so angry about it. A lot of people are accusing GF of paywalling when it comes to Pokemon. It technically isn't, as you can trade for them without the DLC. But the way they've gone bout it, yeah, I don't blame people for jumping to such a conclusion. $30 does seem a bit steep but the concept is neat...it's now how it all rolls out on release day, that's the major bit. Also, am I the only one who finds Regional Variant Legendaries to be...weird? Like, shouldn't that not be possible?
  18. Perhaps nowadays that's a badge of honour for some. Means you've done something that isn't bowing down to tyranny for the sake of money.
  19. I've been looking for this site for WAY too long. Sonic Smackdown is cool, Pizza Tower...isn''t Sonic, but it's a damn fine Wario Land clone, uh, some of the others look cool. And we have a game supposed inspired by Freedom Planet. A Sonic fan game...inspired by a Sonic fan game...inspired by Sonic himself. Yo dawg.
  20. Adventure 2 was, like, my childhood entry to Sonic. Back when my local McDonalds wasn't pretending to be a deep-fried Costa, they had a ring of Gamecube games set up in a little play area. One of them was Wave Race, I remember that. And the other, Adventure 2. I played that game on home console a lot back in the day. It was what got me into Sonic...and now, over a decade later, I wonder if that was a good thing.
  21. Why would they? I try not to just blame it on the Chinese as I feel that's a tool for people to spread hate disguised as something else, BUT it's pretty clear Chinese Money circulates Activision's veins. It's...disgusting. Oh hey look I'm not dead.
  22. Yep, saw that. Thank god they're giving them the time to do what they need to now. ALSO, he's wearing Gloves. So that's a point. But he's still got blue arms. So I have to take it away again.
  23. It's alright, man. We all have to start somewhere...
