  1. So after perusing sonic retro a while back in search of interesting and unique mod's, I came across this image here: from what I could surmise it was some conceptualised artwork from when sonic heroes was being developed, in particular the creation of a flight type character for team rose who would be later known as cream the rabbit. In the end this led me to try my hand at drawing each of them, which inspired me to challenge myself by creating the following images ; first up is a drawing of cream quite, heheh, "beside herself" : (aren't I just hilarious?!) And the second is a sort of "what if?" combining a little bit of each design onto the finalised rabbit we've come to know: well seems I'm the first person to post visual artwork on the site as a post rather than a reply, feedback is appreciated and I hope I'm doing this right.
  2. Its funny that what Ian Flynn said about blaze applies more to sonic and robotnik these days; they can't carry a story alone. BOTH sonic and robotnik I found worked better when they had someone to interact with, as well as when they were allowed to react alongside them to the context of any given situation. It's why I believe that most sonic shows from the 90's did so well was that by allowing them to bounce off someone else they were able to emote and act in a more meaningful manner. In the end I don't think sonic's friends are useless, they're just never used.
  3. I'm still having issues with access denial on the S-files and crazespiricy zone access. unless it isn't an accident...
  4. Oooh I know this one!!! I had a discussion with a guy over on DA and this was one of the things that came up: following the episode the king was now trapped in the void. in the previous season it was implied (at least in one episode) that the king was alive and well, and merely pulling a queen aleena as he left both a message and part of his cape behind in an old prison. Unless there was another mysterious benefactor at play (and if I'm going that route I say bring in aleena, drop her position down to nobility and it kinda works), it also brought up the point that it may have explained dulcy's sudden appearance as well since she was probably long gone by the events of the first season.
  5. if i had to choose I'd go with sonic 2, sure sonic 3 was vastly superior, but 2 was the first one me and my siblings owned, it had the brighter more speed oriented levels and a rockin soundtrack that holds up to this day. also tails, and a distinct lack of labyrinth zone (never again).
  6. well its been awhile since I've seen this show, so I can't really answer number 3, but I do have theories for the first two: for #1 I think its simply because it was built by robotnik as opposed to uncle chuck if I remember correctly, which could mean either it wasn't as efficient or it was closer to the one found in sonic lost world. for #2: Dingo is a dingo, which is a type of Australian wild dog I believe. as to why he can be transformed, I just chalk it up to genetic modification and nanobots because robotnik has little regard for his underlings.
  7. well here's hoping RoL and shattered crystal were the smack upside the head sega needed, its a slippery slope I tells ya.
  8. glitchthesda; I could draw a parody, but the games do a better job.
  9. fallout 3's The Pitt deterioration, the cooling tower hit-boxes invert causing you to actually fall out of the map with no way back in, barring fast travel or a really specific spot where VATS still works. it actually damages Mothership Zeta's quest pathing its so bad, and its never been patched.
  10. just listening to this while I grind the last few boards out of sonic riders: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qft2TKoDGm0
  11. I agree with this sentiment, especially with two of the worst offenders being the battle bird armada and witchcart. having an established rogues gallery of different individuals working for their own ends allows for the comic to remain fresh, rather than the stale of affairs the comic finds itself in now.
  12. *Deranged hermit runs out of the woods, screaming.* "The stones, the stones! They thirst for brightly colored anthro flesh!"
  13. hmmm, she was another heavy hitter alongside sonic, but she lacked his speed which doesn't really make her good for distractions. so I probably would alternate her between sally and antoine, mainly due to the fact she seems more suited as being the one watching the infiltrators backs, she mitigates the risks of most threats by eliminating them quickly and efficiently, and if things were to go south she can hold off aggressors and help cover a retreat. as far as her role outside of the action however, I couldn't put it any differently than arcan already said, she's the rock, the most dependable member of the team, there's not much more to add aside from wanting to see her interact with tails a bit more.
  14. I'm really sorry for how unrelated this is: I don't know if it was accidental or intentional, but barring the shoes and head, the designs have an uncanny resemblance to one another. aside from that mecha sonic 1 is my favorite.
  15. I initially came across this one: it literally just floats there indefinitely. carols bike is the best part of freedom planet.
  16. I'd keep it like sea3on, really good programming from sally's deceased mother as a final gift, with a few hints of halo's cortana thrown in. i would have tried to make her more like she was in season 1, pair her up a little more with the other character during missions/episodes, and pretty much just try and develop her character more alongside everyone else.
  17. my guess is that he was establishing the infrastructure necessary to move forward with galactic conquest once the whole planet was under his control, the freedom fighters continued persistence was the only thing preventing that end. Personally I like how the webcomic sea3on handled it in that there was people who didn't trust him, but he ultimately was the key player who turned the tide of the great war in favor of the kingdom which in turn endeared him to a majority of the population. a lack of evidence allowed him to play the system into his favor. with regards to the second point, I'd assume there was some sort of contingency in place of destroying all sensitive data in the event of an invading force breaking their defenses, and knothole just happened to be first on the list. now if robotnik had memorized the maps its possible they could have just moved knothole deeper into the great forest to throw him off.
  18. I'd assume it was due to how, as well as who, the roboticizer was designed, namely for mobian's. by putting an overlander in it, who has a mostly different physiology and genetic code, it causes their programming to immobilize them in order to prevent catastrophic damage to key components, regardless of the fact they may be the perfect picture of an overlander robian (roverlander?).
  19. So uhh hi, hello, and salutations, I'm just an average massive sonic fan that discovered this site through the wonderful folks over at DA's Anti-Archie-Sonic group, most people from there would know me by my (admittedly terribly named) deviant-art account as "ipwntehnoobs". I'm more or less a hobbyist artist that enjoys discussions on most everything spanning from; fan-works, sonic related material, and above all else: video games.
